and yer bird can  sing?

well if they could

it’s 5 am,im pickin out arpeggios on one of my mandolins, isnt life grand!i am because at 5 am thats all i can get away with, and i like to push it . ya know if yer bird could sing it would beg for mercy ,spare me from the oven, that kinda thing, but if yer like me,and i know i am,your thankfull today for birds that cant sing and sweet sounding mandolins playing quietly till packer game time, unless your a drummer in miami and yer beloved fish are 0 and 10,then maybe ya wish yer bird could sing so ya wouldnt feel so all alone ,missouri loves company they say,so to all the posters on this forum, i hope your cookie jar is full of yer favorite cookies and you and your family have a great and wonderfull thanksgiving, unless of course your a lions fan, then i wish you and yer family a wonderfull thanksgiving and hope that the lions play like turkeys… :peace:

you can leave if you want to,were just jammin thats all,

Yes, it is an annual ritual around here - watching the Lions lose…but perhaps not this year…there’s always hope…at least until the 4th quarter…

lions are almost 50/50 in that game through the years,i believe it started in the 30’s , GB has a losin record in that game,it seems like the better team has lost the game over the years,in the 50’s when the lions had 3 championships, the packers were a lowley team but beat them in 56.when vince and the pack went there on thanksgivin day in 62 undefeated and on thier way to the championship, the lions thumped em,sacking Starr 11 times,i look at it like its a tossup, even though the pack is playin well…

Happy American Thanksgiving, everyone. Man, I have a lot to be thankful for. This could take all day.

But guys, The Football Game is tomorrow. Hook 'em! \m/

Amen to all the thanksgiving - birds singing (and not). Ya’ll have a goodern now hea’…

Kind of you not to comment on that game t’other day, wozz…

packer fans know the pain involved in losing, just look at the teams records during the 70’s and 80’s,that hurt.there are more games to be played tween the 2,and GB can just as easily be on the other side of the coin, its fine to say your team is playing good, but to knock the other team is pretty much foul.when the world championship trophy is named after your old coach, you dont have to brag your team up… :agree:

Um…Lord Stanley was from Wisconsin? Odd, I thought he was British or something… :p

twightlightzone music please…

there is a Stanley Wisconsin, and my first girlfriend had the last name Stanley
But im almost sure you meant Lord A.F. Stanley of Preston, but he wasnt a coach he just donated the trophy, which i must admit has a pretty impressive history

I was reffering (or is it reefer"n?) to Saint Vince’s Hardware

funky link maybe?

too bad,sorry hockey fans

That what you were looking for? When you mentioned a trophy, I naturally thought about the only trophy that really matters…
???

Always keep in mind, my friend, the following (from wikipeida):

Quote:

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international organization of Roman Catholic lay men and women of all ages, whose primary mission is to help the poor and less fortunate.

Now, it is obvious that the “poor and less fortunate” are Packers fans…

i dont understand your logic, being that the packers have the most championships of any team( football)in the league,i see it as packer fans bein blessed, the only community owned franchise,in any sport, the meca of all stadiums,{only maple leaf gardens came close}the trophy bein named after saint vince,i mean what more could ya ask for?i spoose i’d be bitter too if i lived anywhere else, but i dont,so i can beam with pride, and i realise thats not afforded to everyone, sorry bout that

Yep.
Everything you say is true.

ON the other hand, we have the Lions!
:D
