Anyone got display problems with 6 Beta?

Built in compressor

I use two monitors with an ATI HD 3600 video card. I just updated the drivers to attempt a fix with no impprovement in the problem.
When I open the track EQ/Compressor the bottom of the compressor does not display (only the meters) When I drag the mouse over the area the components appear under the cursor one at a time.
Flavio has been unable to reproduce the problem.
My AMD computer is displaying the same problem. This one is Intel.
Anyone else have the display problem or suggestions on a fix?

workin great here Bax…

Everything looks fine here Bax.

I notice that the first time I open the box it displays properly. If I close the box and then reopen, the display does not draw completely.
Thanks for the response. Can you check this situation?
Bax

yep - just confirmed it here Bax - second opening GUI gets goofy.

Rollover with mouse brings up partial images… case of goofy GUI.

Well, just checked it here guys and it opened correctly 6 times in a row.

Now I do have the master mixer docked at the bottom of the screen with all tracks and instruments showing, that’s where i opened the track eq/comp at.

I'm having that problem to Bax, it's intermitten here. It's been that way in the last few builds. Give or take one or two. I did submit a bug report a couple weeks ago.

I opened mine from the track mixer to the left. If you grab it and un-dock it - it shapes up. round and round it goes, where it docks nobody knows.

I’m glad Flavio got to Fix’in that Looping ICON that wasn’t working for some two

-or-more versions now…
Thanks Flavio…

No one wants to hear me Bellie-ache
about this test P-111 machine…
But I’ll continue to say, that recentlly, this machine has been showing all kinds of strange graphics issues when streaming files from any hard drives I have audio tracks on…

Now, it could very well be this P-111 machine… BUT… if (the graphics) it don’t work properly on this machine there must be more than meets the eye to n-Track…
The graphics will track and play the audio just fine, the first pass of a track…
Then the second pass the graphics will hang…
The audio plays just fine when the graphics hangs…
Then the timeline will pick up the stream and work fine for a few seconds… Then hang again and more-and-more till the graphics and the curssor juststalls and I have to cont-alt-delete…
to re-boot…

The CPU on the n-Track Taskbar shows 1.5 - 1.9 % usage…
However, the windows Task Manager says 100%… AND… as high as 151%
So…
what’s going on.
????

this test P-111 machine..

Grrr....

So the problem lies with the eq/comp itself docked?

I always float mine.

Somebody shoot that P-111!

Yep Bax, same here, if eq/comp is docked then it does screwy things on second opening.

On my computer, I get the same reaction docked or undocked. My video card has 1 gig or memory ( I really don’t know if the matters in this case) and the computer is Intel quad 4 with 4 gig of memory.
I tried turning Net on and off - that did not effect situation.
I changed to “default” skin, thinking that might be a sourse of the problem - when changed, the EQ box redraws correctly, but the secong open is corrupt as are most opens after that.
I have noticed that any “global” change (Slin, Vertical/Horizontal, first open) causes the box to draw correctly, then on next use it is currupt.
I am not having trouble with any other current program, but I now remember I did have a simular with Adobe Primier trial version not drawing on of it’s boxes. I can’t recall the curcumstances, and I have removed the program from my computer…
At this point I think we have a programming bug in Beta 6.
Does anyone recall what version the bug first showed up in? Is it in the 6.3?
Bax

Can’t confirm when it started Bax, like I said I always float those windows and it works fine then.

Maybe Poppa can.

I tried to load version 6.3 build 2461. The program would Not Run. Apparently, NTrack Is Not Backward Friendly when it comes to loading older versions. This was an issue before, but I thought it had been fixed. Guess Not.
I have reloaded 2469 and it seems to work as before.
It does not matter if the EQ/Compressor box is docked or Undocked on my computer. The knobs in the Compressor section do not draw after first viewed.
Bax

do they come up on mouse rollover?

I don’t recall when this GUI problem started…

Yes, running the mouse over the area brings up the missing knob/elements.
Is that what you experience?
I reported the problem to Flavio some time ago, but he was unable to reproduce the problem on his computers. That’s why I raised the issue here, I wanted to know if it was just my equipment. I’ve now tried 3 computers (different hardware) with the same results.
Bax

Yep Bax, won’t let me go back to 6.0.3, keeps crashing on start up.

The 64bit 6.0.3 let me go back, same error with the eq/comp window.

But mine only does it when docked here on both apps (x64 and x86) when floating it’s ok.
