Here’s some songs from our forth coming album in myspace.
Recorded with N-track, M-Audio 1814, a few preamps(RNP, RME) and a bunch of microphones.
And “the studio” scene:
surpisingly mellow sound. Almost an old western feel on The Heat of The Night - very nice (van nuys).
The Mall - reminds me of a '70’s rocker - who does that sound like?
Lord of Lords - full blown hillbilly funk down home gospely feel - like this a lot! Yaz could kill this tune!
Every Mother’s Son - guitar rocker. Lead singer reminds me of someone - can’t finger who though.
Nice diverse group of tunes. Good work!
Good stuff varakeef!
The Mall . . . reminds me of Moody Blues
Lord Of Lords
Nice job, I think y’all need a few more amps tho!
Good stuff.
Can’t really pick a favorite. Like Poppa, I hear influences/similarities that I can’t quite place. You guys may be the first Finnish band I’ve ever listened to. Anyway…like I said…good stuff.
Thanks!
But why I can’t edit my first post - it has a typo in the title… ? (“You’re logged in as varakeef”? Well, who else?)
(admin note: fixed typo)
Good stuff.

Can't really pick a favorite. Like Poppa, I hear influences/similarities that I can't quite place.
Thanks!
The record label says "Keywords: country & western, psychedelia, garage rock, stones, synths and keys, drinks, banjo, horns, Kentucky Derby day". They don't know either where it's stolen from..

Hi varakeef and guys:
That’s pretty nice mixing you do there…
Do you Master your tracks, as well ?
and do you mix your tracks right there… where you track?
Bill…
The record is tracked and mixed in that same room (except some overdubs: upright piano, fiddle and maybe some of the vocals were tracked in various living rooms and in the lounge next to the tracking room). The room was once a mixing room of a small commercial studio, so the room is acoustically treated
accordingly (dead, completely).
The record is mastered in Virtalähde Analog Audio by the guy in the link. To me the point of mastering is a pair of fresh ears and different, better listening environment.
Some very varied and good stuff. I particularly like the feel of ‘In the heat of the night’. Nice atmospheric piece!
Most of the recent bands I listen to come from Finland
Some very varied and good stuff.

Maybe the whole package of 10 songs (spamky spam...)

... would give a bit more even picture. I guess those songs are the extreme cases into the hillbilly scene... and I don't think the whole album would be more varied than Sticky Fingers for example.
Here's the cover art with some more amps and studio athmosphere.
What a rip off! You guys area wearing stuff on your feet - YA GOTTA LIVE THE VISION BRO!
That’s some pretty impressive Mastering Hardware that guy has…
I was looking at some of the schematics of that stuff…
Many of these mastering guys don’t rely on Off-the-Shelf audio stuff…
They seem to prefer One-of-a-Kind gear or Modified stuff that no one else can buy…
You go to these guys because you like what you hear…
not the toys they use…
Bill…
Yes, he builds quite a lot of his gear by himself and modifies others gear as well. I think he builds preamps etc for sale as well if you ask. Pleasant guy to work with.
