I did kind of a guitar karaoke thing at Capalanos a couple of years ago, jamming with a cd of material I’d created. Reading what’s been posted in another topic, I thought of this. I doctored it up a little, and decided to use it for my weekend submission.

The “For Sale” thing was really just a joke, but glad you liked it. On the original mix, I used WaveArts MasterVerb. I “doctored” it by running it through SIR a couple of times, using impulses from a “Spectral Relativity” impulse collection I picked up a while back. I tried to be careful to keep the lower frequencies un-effected, and not so much as to make it sound weird in any way. (My original plan was to screw it up completely, until I realized I was bringing it to life.) That really made the drums stand out nice and pretty compared to the original recording. I’m not sure that’s how you’re supposed to do things, but I like the result.

It has crossed my mind to try a recording, but haven't done it yet.


There's so many directions you can go with it, that I can really get myself out a limb with this thing, ending up flat on my face. (I'm not the great guitar player I try to portray myself as in my recordings... :D ) It's fun, but it's dangerous! :whistle:

Lost me for a bit there but I think I got it.

Don’t know why but I’ve never been able to get Jazz, which in turn has really made me dislike it… :;):

Especially the ‘free jazz’ and improv stuff…dunno why…

I’m just an uneducated oaf… :laugh:
