Where can I get tickets?

I dunno... three meals a day, heating and air conditioning... play in the prison band all day... hmmm...
There's a cop at the end of our street runnin' radar. I'm gonna go out and poke him in his left eyeball... I hear our local jail is lookin' for a geetar picker...
Hey Obammer?! How's THAT for a "stimulus package"?
*poke*

Ya all the comforts of home, just don’t drop the soap in the shower and you should be ok
bubba should make that his avatar hahahaha!
Well… I’m back. Here’s how it went…
POKE!
Cop: "AHH! What the heck did you do that for!?!?!?"
Me: "I wanna go to jail!"
Cop: "Are you nuts?"
Me: "Well yeah. What’s that got to do with it?"
Cop: "Okay nut boy. Why do you wanna go to jail?"
Me: "I hear they need a geetar picker down there."
Cop: "WHAT? The place is CRAWLING with geetar pickers. I could fire one shot and kill five or six!"
Me: "Sounds just like all my other auditions… They all say 'Guitar player huh? Woods is full of ‘em’."
Cop: "They’re right."
Me: sigh
Cop: rubbing left eye "Go on home to yer wife and kids doofus. If you know any drummers though… send 'em down to see me…"
Me: “Yes officer.” sigh
That’s pretty sad when you can’t bust INTO jail. Hmmph!
Bubba… lucky turd…

I am back. I went up to the Sticks County court house for my arraignment. Proud as can be I march in with my paper. judge looks over the chrges and says, these aren’t right. Dude put you down for some other odd ball charge. I am ameding the charges to this lesser deal. Fine, whatever. So if I fight it and lose it is a less of a pain. I tell the judge about my magic paper. He tells me this is just an arraignment and I need to enter a plea. He says in the pre-trial I can present that as evidence and the prosecutor will motion to dismiss. Great… pretrial… so, like this will be in what an hour? NOoooo. I have to march my ass back up there in April to appear again for the dismissal.
In the mean time, I made a nice long motion of discovery against the cop. Provide me with the police report, in car video and audio, radar calibration docs, last six months of tickets, the cases and outcomes… anything to make this dick head work and use this evidence to discredit him as an officer. I know that I will never get that far, but to make his life difficult, I am happy to do it. F-em.
So what exactly are these new charges?
That sounds fishy.
Almost like they are thinking “he can get out of that fine, so lets charge him for this offense instead”.
Sounds fishy. Or did the judge determine that without talking to you or seeing your paper?
I know it isn’t you, your way to smart to not know what your going to court for.
It shouldn’t be the judge they are usually people like PW, just pretty level headed well adjusted tolerant people, weird stuff buddy.
But I do have a belief about communities and wide spread mental illness.
The whole community could be nutz.
Be careful.

That's the clincher there. I know a guy who has got out of all kinds of crap by doing that. More often than not, the officer just wouldn't show up for court and the judge would dismiss the case.
One idiot cop did that about three times. They suspended him for two weeks... WITH PAY! He came back from his two week vacation to the beach and went back on patrol just like nothing ever happened! Maybe he's not such an idiot after all...

PS As for Levi's comment... I am of the opinion that mental illness is a prerequisite for being a cop. At least it seems that way around here.
Other than the having to return to court part, it sounds like things went reasonably well for you. I figured you’d use your wit instead of an angry tongue to settle the score, though I admit to being a wee bit worried when I didn’t see any sign of you around here yesterday evening. The one thing I did get a chuckle out of today was the thought of being arrested and told I was being put in a cell with “Bubba”.
Yeah, 160 pounds of prison love… that’s me. Bubba.
