hello folks. i just downloaded the demo version to 5 and when i record my voice i can not hear it in real time so basically i feel unbalanced. can anyone skilled with this program give me a few tips to overcome this problem??if i figure it out i swear i’ll buy the registered program. someone told me that it could be my soundcard, but i have a pretty good one… i think. thanks.
Yeah, it’s a soundcard setting, but without knowing a bit more about your setup (ie signal chain, soundcard type etc) it’s going to be tricky to give you a specific answer. Your card should have a mixer applet (or use the standard Windows one). Basically you’re looking for a setting to route the input signal to the output.
thank you very much. im going to see if i route the signal some how. i wish i knew a little more about my card but youve given me an idea.ill let you know what happens.
okay i figured out that i have a realtek ac97 audio soundcard…does that help??i need to know where to go to change my route settings.
What faders do you have when you open your mixer applet? There should be a way to see the recording faders. On mine I have a fader for “Stereo Mix” that allows me to hear both the palyback and recording at the same time.

Ok, well that's a pretty basic onboard type card. Not great but it'll do for now.
This'll sort you out:
Open Windows mixer applet (double click the Speaker icon on the system tray).
Options-->Properties. Select the Radio button for "Recording", tick all the recording controls in the box below, and click OK. You are now looking at the Recording mixer.
Make sure that Line in or Mic in is selected as appropriate. (YOu will probably find it already is both let's just make sure).
Now do Options-->Properties again. Select the Radio button for "Playback", tick all the controls in the box below, and click OK. Now you are looking at the Playback mixer. Make sure that you have "Wave" and your recording source (eg Line IN) un-muted and the faders up.
That should sort you.
:-)
thanks a mill it worked out fine!if i have any more problems i’ll get in touch with you thanks again
