I need it
I hope people don’t desert “N” for this cool new software.

ROFL, I need one!
How come when I click the “buy now” button it says I can’t b/c I’m not cool enough?
Maybe they’ll donate the stack as a prize!?
Very funny stuff!
I like on the MSL module the one knob says “Beatles - More/Less”. Kind of has some truth to the influence they had huh?
D
I just found out that if you have a rating of 5 or less this software is actually fully compatible with “N”
Yea - those with over 5 have to use R huh?
LOL
I need an exellentizer man.
I have to take offense at the snipe at Ringo though.
True, he was an unschooled drummer and there were a lot of rudiments he never learned.
Yet he had exceptionally steady timing and nailed the groove for the Beatles.
For fun I’ve done a number of covers where I imitated the original as closely as I could.
Sometimes it’s obvious they used a click track on the original, and in that case it’s easy to set up a MIDI tempo map that closely matches the original, just an occational tempo tweak here or there to keep things synchronized.
For tunes where they didn’t, it takes me about an hour to make a tempo map, requiring a slight tempo adjustment often with every measure or two, and sometimes more than once in a measure.
For example, Aja was a nightmare (surprisingly enough, since most Steely Dan is recorded to a click track and steady as the day is long).
Drive My Car was fun to do.
It clearly wasn’t recorded to a click track, but of the tunes that weren’t, it was more like doing a click-track tempo map than any other I’ve ever done.
The guy was rock solid, really.
I was caught off guard and very impressed.
Plus he just sounds cool!
Gotta love the Beatles, even if you hate them!
I saw Ringo on the idiot box the other day. He said the reason some of the Beatles tunes drums are the way they are is he is naturally left-handed but was forced to play a right-handed set. So many things felt un-natural to him so he pounded out what he felt sounded the best with what he could comfortably play. For example, he said in a lot of stuff, a “normal” drummer would have whacked the snare but he placed a tom there instead.
It was a pretty neat show.

that page is pretty freakin’ hillarious.
i like the LED display joke on the ‘make sound like’ unit.
i always dug fleetwood mac, so mick’s inclusion on the drummer unit gave me an eyebrow raise. but not that much. i can take a joke.
Pretty funny. I like the “****” to “cool” meter, and the sound called “German”!
Yeah, I didn’t get Mick being included there. I always though Mick & Mac made a good rhythm section. But, I’m no drummer and I’ve never disected their works so I figured I must be missing something.
does the ‘german’ setting making it sound like falco doing ‘rock me amadeus’? or does it make it sound like the actual mozart or beethoven? maybe ‘a fifth of beethoven’ by Family Guy music director Walter Murphy.
