only hear it from the card

OK, I’ve seen post in here before on this but can’t remember the solution.

I can’t hear the click track out of my speakers.
I can hear it comming from the soundcard out the bak of the computer!
Probably something simple but I know this is the best place to get the answer quick.

BTW using version 2.3, 1G proc. Soundblaster Auidgy/Midi Game card.

Hey jerm,

Could it be that you’re using the metronome for your click, and you have it set to use the “PC Speaker” (i.e., the computer’s internal speaker) instead of “MIDI Note Device” (i.e., your Audigy)?

I knew it was something simple like that…
now to print it out…and take it upstair to the DAW…and yes I would forget it by the time I got up there! :laugh:

Welp I looked under recording controls,

And found a couple of things listed under devices, all describing different parts of my sound card.
I still couldn’t get the beep sound to come out the speakers…but…
If I click the Midi Devices Box a high hat tempo simular to a clikc comes out! :D
Good enough fr me, I didn’t like the beep anyhow!

I think you have to select the “Private Parts” of your sound card to hear the beep.
