I just got a delta 44 sound card. I can monitor recording or playback but not both at the same time. How do you do it?

I just figured it out. However I would like send the sound to my other card (SB Live!) for monitoring. I can monitor on delta 44 if I use extra equipment to plug in my headphones. It would be simpler to monitor on SB Live! and plug in the headphones directly. I select the “Emu10Ka Audio” in N-track “audio playback devices” but there is no sound. The sound card is working because I can play MP3’s for example.
Any Suggestions?
