Driving me nuts...

Off Colour tones…

This is driving me crazy, on some equipment I hear some off colour tones in this song - Now I’m starting to hear it all the time - I think it’s in my head. I usually hear it in the intro. I can’t decide if it’s me, the equipment or if it’s really there.

Give a listen and tell me if you hear it…

Any other input would be appreciated also…

What do you mean by “off colour tones”? The only thing I hear that might qualify is the sound of guitar strings inadvertently sounding when the hand comes up a little too high off the strings to mute (G string, and I think I’m hearing the A string hammering lightly down as well, even though it’s not being strummed).

As for the song itself, I enjoyed it! I dig the drumming, and I like the conviction in the female vocals, but she sounds really muffled–maybe EQ some highs in there?

That is what was driving me nuts, on some equipment I’d hear some low end noise (almost like LF feedback), and on other gear, I wouldn’t hear it. If I listen on the monitor speakers, it’s there. But, on the phones it’s not…???

I’ll give a listen to Mia’s vocal - thanks for the help.
