Dual boot

Excellent! all is not lost! :agree:

Cheers people. The relief - almost worth going through it for - almost!? Bliss!
Yes, I have learned.

Phew! Four weeks with no tunes :heart-break:

Machine back from wizard - all wavs are safe and backed-up to new 7500rpm removable IDE drive.

The only real loss on the music part’ is every vst other than the ones that came bundled with n-T have gone - no biggy.

I don’t know you could manage to hold your breath for that long…

Are you sure you didn’t cheat ? Like taking your fingers off your nose ?

Bill… lololo…

The gap gave me the umph to resurrect a 4meg Atari 1040 STe, AKAI S3000, EVS1 multitimbral, TOA MR8T, TEAC SMPTE box, Alesis Midiverb11 and a trunk full of floppies and tapes. Need more space. Soon:-)

glad to hear your up & running again & ready to don your satin suit& platform heels & finish your glamrock project

And you think I'll get me arse kicked in the playground? ROFL...

PS Glad you got yer machine back. Now make something worth listening to.

I have one of them Atari Machines… I even had a Shoebox Hard drive for it and a Hi-Res. monitor…
It needs the Power Supply, rebuilt…
I did a DIY upgrade to it and right after doing that, the power supply began to run warm…
I think the upgrade (with all the added parts) didn’t allow air to circulate around the power supply and it overheated…
sigh… That was a great machine…
I didn’t have it long enough to learn how well it worked…

Bill..

Bill. If you ever (within reason) need a psu for the Atari, there's a guy over here who builds 'em.

I have two power supplies… Neither of them work…
I just picked all the Atari stuff up and packed it away…
Oddly enough, it (the power supply Failed) the same day I got the P-90 machine… with '95 installed on it…
I remember that day, well…
At least I think I do…
:)
???

I don’t know if I could remember how to connect all the hardware together and fire it up…

If you check the CookieFinger page I have on the Maritime Express, you’ll see the Cassette Jewel Case liner…
It was done on the Atari Machine…
I’d like to know how many of those tapes he (Donny MacKinnon) sold…
I’d say a good sized truck load of them…
He was forever re-ordering supplies of them…

What do you suppose I could do with that machine if I got it up-and-running????

Bill..

Plug it into n-T over midi and fire off old stuff with new. Smashin'!

Oddly enough, we didn’t do any MIDI stuff on the Atari machine, back then… We used an HR-16 Drummer and the MMT-8 MIDI Sequencer/Mate that goes with the drummer… All Of that stuff fed a couple of tracks on the Tascam 38 1/2" tape deck…
