There really isn’t a way to do ducking in N with out a hardware compressor. Grab Reaper and setup a side chain. Quick and easy.
Thanks everyone for keeping the pressure on regarding the routing needs. I’m basically left on the n-track sidelines (ie reaper) until that gets implemented.

Well I for one, agree that n-Track's routing (among other things) needs to be dragged into the modern era. n-Track DOES have a great look/feel to it, but danggit! You just can't DO what you CAN do with some other apps...

What I don't get is why you reapsters seem to need nTrack. Whats missing in Reaper?

NEED it? I don't... but n-Track was my first DAW. Nobody likes to see an old friend fall by the wayside so I still hang around this great community, occasionally poking an idea or feature request out there. Also, I admit, pissin' off a few people in the process... It's all about making the tools better. If nobody griped and moaned, things wouldn't change as quickly. Yes, I am in a hurry. Life is too short for work-arounds. What precious little time I have for recording/playing music, I DON'T want to spend fighting with flaws in the tools.

Or the bigger question, why do us Reaper-ites hang out over here? Cause we cut our teeth on N and still want to see how it grows.
