Enthusiatic crowd

X-Japan live

A lot of Western bands would kill for a crowd like this :)

There’s a lot of energy being transferred from that stage to their audience…

Would that stuff be the stuff what Hugh Jass is into ???

Is that stuff considered Metal or Grunge ????

Bill…

Music speaks many languages.
Energy, soul, the spirit of it all, got to love music!
How much do you think it cost to put that show on the stage?

Dread to think what it cost Levi, but it looks like they did ok on ticket sales
:)

Bill…hard to categorise X-Japan, they do a lot of ballads with big string arrangements also. The drummer is also the piano player and orchestral arranger. But definely not ‘grunge’
:)

I don’t think you can really compare cultures, western audiences love their bands too.

Good band!:agree:

If only I was 40 years younger…
Maybe, I could understand some the stuff that’s popular with the kids…
When my kids were growing up they were big Billy Joel fans…
I think the LP was Glass Houses…
Then there was a Disco guy from the…

What was the guy’s name… Billy
Last name
started
with a T…
I think…
????

He recorded one song that resided in my head…
It was so well recorded…
It wouldn’t leave my head…
Was he British ??
or
Caribbean ??

However, this X Japan stage is a Big TO-DO…
Whoever, they are…

Bill…

Darn Bill you take Jazz players, some moonlight in other bands to pay bills I guess but most are true to their genre.
Got to do what moves ya, that’s where I’m at anyway.
I don’t mind rockin out if it’s bluesy.

I can remember back in the mid-to-late ‘70’s…
The economy was really hurting…
I took work with a trio band…
Times were tough…
However, we had work as a trio band…
Drummer guitar player and me…
:p
I never worked so hard in all my days…
They kept payin’ us… I kept workin’…
:)
:p

Was it Country Music ??

NO…

I was glad to get back on a 5-piece stage…
I can tell you that…
I could go back to sleep, again…

Umm... Billy... Ocean? He's Trinidadian/Brit.

Whatever made me think his last name started with a T…
????

Billy Ocean…
Stage name… of course…
Not to get into twenty questions…
BUT…
now you know the name of that song…
MaN…
It was so nice, for a Disco tune/song…
If there was one song…
that was it…
Then there was the BG’s…

I don't exactly know which song you might be referring to. If it's still running circles in your head, then look here, under Discography: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Ocean

Maybe you'll find it, assuming it is still Mr. Ocean you are thinking of. "Caribbean Queen" is one of my favs.

As for BG... I like Battlestar Galactica. :p

Boy, that wiki, is great…
The only album in the right time period could be the the first one he recorded of the same name…
I know the movie Jewel of the Nile…
Great one…
The only song I can think it is would be the song When the Tough Gets Going…
song used in the movie…
BUT…
it don’t sound like the title…
Could be…
????

As I went down the song lists, I didn’t see any titles that rung any bells…
So…
that must be the song title…
Anyway, the capture of the tracks and the mix and energy of the song was flawless… whatever, title it is…

Geeeeeze…
Is that kid 60 years old…
????

Go to a music video repository or even Youtube.com, and you'll probably find the one that's been ringing yer bells.
