error loading vst's

something wrong with “vst scan”?

i just got a new computer…quite powerful, with windows xp home…my old computer ran windows 2000…
i run n-rack sometimes, and i also have cubase se3…
the vst plug-ins in n-track 4.2 loaded fine, and run flawlessly on my old computer, and are easily seen, along with the other plug-ins by cubase…
my new computer can’t see any of the new vst plug-ins in n-track 4.2, and cubase can’t see 'em either…

help!!!

Ahhh, there’s a clue there if n-Track AND cubase can’t see them.

Find out what folder you put the plugins in, open up n-Track, and go Properties–>Paths–>Set VST folders in effects settings dialogue box.

Check the paths in the “Vst plugins folders” combo box at the bottom. The folder that you have put the plugins in should be one of the options, if not, click the ADD button and add it.

That should sort n-Track; Cubase should have some similar setting.

… you’ll probably then need to restart n-Track…
