If you are thinking about getting EZ drummer, now might be a good time.
You can get EZDrummer - for $99

And if you buy an expansion pack (like Nashville),
you can get a second expansion pack (like Vintage) for free

So you get all 3 for $180 (not bad)

Hi sevenOfeleven:

If there is a choice of Drummer Applications to invest in, I assume that this would be the choice and this is the opportunity to do it…

Sweetwater sends a catalogue out with their orders…
I’ve been looking at this EZ Drummer in their catalogue…

BoY…
It’s tempting…

Bill…

It’s a great program and that’s a great deal.

I was that close to calling Sweetwater and Ryan Murphy today to ask him about that drummer…
I think it’s the drummer you have…
Does it work at the Get-Go. ????
Do you need to be a computer wizz ????
What are some of the choices…
??
and where is this one positioned… ????
Money-and-workability…
and all…
?

Bill…

It’s a piece of cake to import files as mid using EZDrummer as a VSTi. Only problem is midi editing in n-Track - for me anyway. Flavio should get midi clips to act like midi clips soon though I hope.

You’d be amazed by it Bill - I am.

I was lookin at the Sweetwater catalogue this morning… Checkin prices… The EZ Drummer as shown by them is $149.00 and the Nashville pac is $98.00 and the others are at some lower prices… $79.00 ????

I keep those reference catalogues right next to the… You-Guessed-It:p  Right next to the ThRoNe… I think it’s called Time Management… OR… Something…

Bill…

Hi Gents:

I’m back on this thread…
I’m looking pretty hard at this…
Most of you are aware.
I have an Intel P-111 1.2mhz.
that has 512 meg of ram…
Then the Dual boot studio P-4 that is 1.7mhz. that has 1 gig of ram in it…
My question is…
AND… Maybe I should ask ToonTrack this one …
These machines are LAN’d…
But I use them as a pair of machines in my setup…
I’d like to have each machine with the Drummer capability…
for Tracking-and-Editing…

I’ll see if ToonTrack replies to my quandary…

Bill…

I think you are allowed 3 computers to use EZDrummer Bill - I use mine on 3. Home DAW - Office and Laptop.
Is that what you meant?

Hi Poppa Willis:

Thanks for the reply…
That’s exactly the question…
That’s the thing…
The only quandary is …
will that P-111 struggle with the load of using the drummer with n-Track…
My requirements aren’t much…
Is the drummer a stand-alone editor or is it used as a Do I Have The Right terminology.???
A VSTi…????
I’m still learning…
:p

I checked the delivery prices out on their page… They are pretty steep… HOW Come…??

Bill…

I use it only as a VSTi Bill - I downloaded a player for it but I never use it.
CPU and memory Bill - might wanna bring your system into at least 2006?
:agree:
Check the specs at toontrack.com on it.
I bought mine at Sweetwater, better deal. Dunno why their website is higher… Volume?
???

Ii KkNnOoWw:

 :p Everyone is on My Back-Side… The first thing they say to me … Have you got a Hi-Speed Connection yet…? It’s not… Boy… That was some Ice-Storm… When is the weather gonna get better… AnYwAy… ????

I think I’m gonne grab that utility… I’ll make a phone call to them… (The link that sevenOfeleven posted)… Guitar Center… The ToonTrack Page has a bunch of options… What-or-how should I ask Guitar Center for.???? and Their Deal and what Sample packs would fit my TO-DO’s ?

Thanks Poppa Willis…

Bill…

Get EZDrummer and the Nashville Kit would be my suggestion Bill. I have the Latin percussion for shakers and congas and stuff but rarely use it. Nice to have though.

Thanks Poppa Willis:

I’m off to give the Guitar Center a call…
I had in mind to grab the Nashville Samples and the Latin Percussion Samples for the Two-for-One Sample deal…

We’ll see how it goes…
I don’t need the software for the shipping and import charges…
I just need the Reg. Codes…
from them…
However, I’ll ask if that could become an issue to land the Drummer Software here…

I’ll report back to let everyone know how the order process went…

Bill…

I’m reporting back…

It appears that the 2-for-1 Sample deal may be a Store Offer… When I called I got what was a Call Center, in Utah… The guys there suggested that I browse a list of locations to find the store that is offering the Deal… and Go-from-There… He wasn’t able to give me the location-or-help However, my modem-and-dialup wouldn’t browse for the list of stores… It’s too slow to open that page…

I’m at a crossroads… Can someone help ????

I’ll get back here today or later this afternoon…

Thanks for your help…

Bill…

Geetar Sinner does not have any stores in Canada Bill. Might be tricky fer a Newfie… What major US city is closest?

D

AaHh:

Back Again…

I was talking to Ryan at Sweetwater…
He can deliver me a set of Reg. Codes for EZ Drummer Pro… Latest version/build…
and Nashville Sample disk along with another sample disk e.g. (Latin) OR Whatever…
from the EZ Home page…
all for $229.00 USD…

[EDIT 2] I forgot… Then I go to EZ’s Home Page and download all the Software…

Is that what I should consider
???
I promised him another phone call tomorrow after I sleep on the DEAL…

Bill…

[EDIT]
I see you D…
I have a monumrntal decission to ponder…
here…
The EZ Drummer looks like it’s a Sweetwater ID/Fort Wayne Deal…
at this Point-in-Time…
We’re studying this…

If you order over the net, SB no problem.
I just ordered EZ for $99 w/free shipping.
I did not get the add on pack, because the second (freebie)
is download only, and you have to have hi-speed to recieve it.

I may get it anyway, because the freebie download is good
til DEC 2009, - by that time I will probably get hi-speed.

Been thinking about this ‘deal’ and thought I’d add some conflict to the mix.
I honestly think if I had a choice I would consider RealBand Bill. Depending on what you are going to do with your studio. It’s more suited in my mind for a songwriter, but with the new real instruments it just blew me away. My kids are getting it for me for Christmas, so I’ll have the best of both worlds. And it’s a Canadian company!
RealBand

Hi sevenOfeleven:

Thanks for the reply to this…
I hope to make the decision sometime between now-and-tomorrow…
I don’t know how big the sample files and CD is…
However, I hope to get someone with a Hi-Speed connection to download the files for me…
That’s if ToonTrack will allow me the opportunity to do that…
We’ll
check that possibility out with the EZ Drummer support guys…
I have yet to ask any questions to them yet…
I was on the verge of writing them some mail early this morning…
BUT…
I came up here and Poppa Willis happened to be here…
I don’t think he ever sleeps…
It was before 5am. my time and he gave me a quick reply to the initial questions I had.
Then, it was off to work for me…
After the morning run I was back here again…
and…
there he was…
again…
That’s when I called Ryan Murphy, at Sweetwater…
He browsed the Guitar Center Page for me and he is aware that I have a modem-and-dial up…
Maybe, he’ll put in a good word for me at Toontrack and explain to them regarding my slow Dial-up/Internet connection…
We’ll see…

Anyway, Ryan has been good to me…
I hate Not to return his good service that he has shown me in the past…
Toontrack has various products that they have on their site…
He suggests that I should order the EZ Drummer Pro…
and that total price from Sweetwater along with the two sample disks downloaded from Toontrack will be $229.00 to Sweetwater… ( No disks will come to me, through the mail…
The application and attachments will be all download-able…
so he says )
I’ll need to confirm that with Ryan when I call him and make the deal…
Maybe, I’ll get Ryan to write some mail to Toontrack on my behalf, to get this going…
We’ll see…
Maybe, there’ll be more details to resolve yet…
????
We’ll see…
I think the security of the reg. codes wouldn’t be an issue…
However, at this point-in-time I don’t know that for sure…

As-it-goes
:p
:agree:

Bill…

[EDIT]
I see you here Poppa Willis… I’ll ponder this whole idea as the night wares on… Something is burning… I can see smoke blow’in from your ears from here… I can almost see fire-and-flame… … anyway, post these ideas you have…
