FAWM Songs

Here is a tune from my new album “Moon Over Old School”. This is the title song. I’m not sure how well it will sound, I’m in the process of getting some studio monitors so I can really give that tone. This is a mastered version, so I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know what you think of the sound quality, melody ect…

Downloading now, Paco. Are you registered over at FAWM? I don’t have you on my watch list!

Well, the verb on the vocal is really heavy, but it is a cool effect. Mix sounds great on little headphones. I know that’s not much help!

I signed up at FAWM but I don’t have any songs that fit the agenda right now, but at least I’m a member now.

Cool.
What’s your user name over there?

Edit: Ah, I think I found you, simply “Paco”?

OK, got the second from today done. Sloppy but it has its moments, e.g. the piano at the end.

And another snow day tomorrow! I’m aiming for two more…

Thanks for the feedback. During the mastering process, there was some reveb added to both low and high ends. A little more stereo separation around the middle lower and middle higher mids, this can create or expand the verbs in the center of the song. I've trimmed back the stereo separation in the mastering software and left a little verb on the low and high ends. I re-uploaded it. Perhaps if you get a chance you could listen to it one more time and tell me what you think. The vocals were recorded with verb so if it's too much I'll have to redo them, but I'm interested it what you might have to say.

My name over at FAWM is "Paco"

Thanks Tom

Did a horrible one today, and finishing a not so-horrible one, perhaps tonight. Thanks for the listens. I noticed there was on fellow who did some music for some of the lyrics, but seemed too timid to share it. Would you like me to point some of the folks there in your direction? Mostly it seems that collaborations come by asking and not the collab corner.

OK, it is perhaps not as horrible as I thought -

Hmm. It should stream from google sites. Hey, Craig, would you go over to FAWM and see if my #5 will stream for you?

Tina, it's also over on
http://cookiefinger.Bandcamp.com

sarah & i have started writing 3 songs tonight from my FAWM lyrics… alli says shes quite happy to let go of the lyric writing for this… trouble is getting her to sing them now we dont see her that often
anyway we wont get 14 done but might manage a few

Anything is an accomplishment. I discovered that doing this sort of thing makes me obsess about it. So now all I’m doing all day long is thinking about the next thing to try. Not sure that that’s healthy. Esp. since I have to prepare for a sabbatical interview tomorrow, which could mean 8 months of nothing to do but research and write. Not going to get it. S’Ok, been waiting 15 years to get one.

Thanks T :agree:

Tom, I haven’t been able to stream anything of yours to be fair…I have to ‘download mp3 directly’…

#5 exhibiting strong TomS traits :)

I’ve said it before…but I can’t believe how fast you get these songs done Tom.
Well done dude!

Hmm…wonder what I am doing wrong?
They all stream for me…

This one was like pulling teeth, Craig.
