Hi Jeff:
You’re right… It could be an EP200… I remember when I worked at the Musicstop, here, back in the late’70’s, early’80’s. It was a very popular keyboard. Size, and all… It had 61 notes. Vol/tone/and tremolo… I think… It had two 5x7 speakers… A nice “Cable” sustain pedel. The notes were “Read-Bars” that were hit by “felt lined hammers”. It had four chromed legs… There was a headphone out jack, and, I think, a Line-output… I think Tom S or Tom, up here, has one. The talk was to get it “Sampled”… on another thread… That was some time ago…
Anyway, a number of them got sold and out working. The guys used to hammer the notes hard enough that the reed-bars would Fatigue and the note would play “flat”… The reed bar then had to be replaced and then tuned. Brought into pitch. It was always the most common notes that would fatigue… A-C-D-E-G-…Well, you know…
Bill…
Yup, good description of an EP200. Greg Sullivan (link above) has some good samples. But it would sound even better with more velocity layers.
Hi Jeff:
I mailed your updated Sample link out again… It appears you are getting positive reviews, on your Rhodes Samples, around these parts. I suggested that they send you some mail regarding their comments on your Samples. As well, I gave them the link to your thread on this Board…
Bill…
Hey, I just noticed I posted the wrong file (or forgot that I omitted a step) with the stereo Rhodes soundfont – they’re looped but don’t have decay programmed, which is pretty important! Anyway, feel free to inform your friends that I’ll fix it as soon as I can get a round tuit, probably within a week.
Hi Jeff:
I thought I would post this from Paul, up here for everyone to see… There was some lag into putting it up here… The guys that are into music, reside into many “Camps”… But I’m sure the soundfont guys know by now about your Rhodes Samples…

That’s a nice post Bill!
Well done Jeff!

Gee, Bill, thanks for passing that along. I feel kinda like a proud parent.
Well, you should. That goes for any of the guys we meet up here, doing projects and offering/shareing their energies, to the community… I still remember getting that mail from the piano player over on the continent, telling me how he liked useing the IR Spikes I did at that Church. I promised myself I would re-do them, I don’t have the right Capture hardware yet… Mabey, someday, I’ll be able to do them up right…
Bill…
Hey, my domain’s back on-line! Whee, I’m a webhead again!

Also posted there is an improved version of the stereo soundfont (light stereo chorus). Improved in that the initial version didn’t have decay programmed, and since it uses loops, the notes would sustain forever. Oops, well, it’s fixed now.
Feel free to tell your friends.
Bill, what’s the forum you chat about soundfonts on? Also, please say Thanks to Paul for his kind words.
