Had to repost this!

Memphis Melody II

When I first posted this a couple of weeks ago, I had done it all myself so it had no lead guitars.
Enter Mr Teague and Mr Willis!
The basic track is as-is with a little tweaking to allow room for the lead guitars.
Twin lead solo in the mid-section from Yaz, backing vox from Yaz.
Fills between the vocals and closing solo from Poppa.

Guys…you took this to a new level. My humble thanks! :agree: :D

LOL...

Can't wait to scope it out Bruff... Yep. Yaz and Poppa are the shizzle on geetars...

D

Just now listened on my big system Bruffie - very nice.

Only one problem. It ends. We did good!

Great job. :agree:

I still say that’s the best thing you have ever done, and the added guitars are fabulous.

Good job Bruffie! :agree:

Salut!

Excellent mon ami, mais veuillez ne pas mourir sur la toilette

LOL… Yeah. There’s gotta be better ways to “go”…

D

did he just say it sounds better in the toilet? LOL

Test:

I have a fun memory in this tune. I almost lost my guitar pick while trying to turn it on edge to get some bite. I reacted by staying on one note pattern until I got it where I wanted. I still notice it at 3:25.
Oh and I snuck in a Neil Diamond lick too. You notice it?

He said.....

"Excellent my friend, but please do not die on the toilet"

:) :)

Well when you put it that way it’s funny; in a macabre way.

Poppa snuck in Neil lick from “America” ? ? ? :)

Funny… now that you mention him… I could here Neil Diamond singing this song.

Wish I could sell it to him :)

Yep - I heard him from the start - snuck the America lick in there once.
Can’t say enough about your singing on this Bruffie - and the writing… A++++ all around. :agree:

Thanks Poppa! The song sort of fell together when I was playing with some
ideas and scrawling the lyrics down at the same time

By the way, I thought the one note lick at 3.25 was a brilliant piece of restrained playing and is one of my favorite parts of your solo :)
But, how many times do those little 'accidents' turn out to make a song!!
