HBD, fellows! I’ve a beer for Doc and Bill, and metamucil for you, D!

Metamucil? Bah! Maybe some Viagra… No, with my faulty memory I’d probably forget and use the Viagra as a suppository and start crappin’ bricks! LOL!

Double Quattro is not that old…

Hi Gents:

Where did that year go? I’m back to work…
Birthdays seem to come along much quicker at this age…

I’m replying to this thread from the Studio P-4 machine… I’m unable to boot the P-111…
What could it be??

Bill…

Thanks guys. My family is not known for making it to 50 so I am feeling a bit relieved. I had a fun 50th; I went to the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival and played till my fingers hurt, 5 times. I also bought myself a Morgan Monroe Dobro (actually it is a resonator guitar).

Happy B-day to Bill and D!

Hey Doc, it’s still a Dobro to me, specially when Jerry Douglas plays one! NICE Doc, ok, lets hear something from it!

Yaz :)

VERY nice Doc!

Hey, do you know or know of Claire Lynch? My son has been dating her daughter for over a year now. I had no clue until a friend of mine said, “CLAIRE LYNCH!!! THE Claire Lynch???” I says… “Err… yep. What’s the big deal?” He proceeded to clue me in on Claire’s achievements. I told the boy he could keep this girlfriend! $$$$ LOL!

They are good people too. That’s always a plus…

D

Wow, if that is the one I’m thinking of, Claire goes way back in bluegrass, she was in a band back in the 70’s Alabama Front Porch something or another. She’s got that bluegrass voice! :)

Yep. I do believe that’s her. She’s been nominated for a couple of Grammy’s and has had a few of her songs recorded by big name country artists. Like I said though, most importantly, they’re good people.

Hi Gents:

I almost missed some of the replies to this topic…
What a beautiful instrument that Dobro is…
DrGuitar… There may have been 2-3 builders/brand names of them…
I am not positive of that…
National was one and then I know Dobro was and I believe the original name…
I don’t know the history…

I know Leonard had two…
Each with those two names…
They were strung and tuned to be played with a BAR-and-Finger Picks…
However, they could be bought to be played as a fretted instrument… and tuned as whatever tuning a fretted guitar can be tuned as…

I know I had some photos of him with his setup when we played on the same stage together and when we got to Track in the studios…
I’d sure like to know what happened to them…

I don’t know which ones they were…
but one was a chrome body with a spruce top…
The other was Spruce-and-Mahogany…
or whatever… As I remember, they had two quite unique sounds…
I couldn’t tell you which one was which by listening at them on a mix…

Here’s his tracks of one of the last projects we worked on, together…

Leonard’s Steel-and-Dobro Tracks

I’m still looking for a couple of guitar tracks (fill-and-backing tracks)to complete this mix…Maybe, a fiddle track? This one became a Work-in-Progress, song… Does anyone know a drummer that can do some toms and crash cymbels? for this?

You work with a guy all your life playing on a stage…
then you wake up one morning and he’s no longer with us…

Bill…

[EDIT]
That Panda Security application I have wants to label some of the mail I know I should get, as Junk Mail… I went looking at my server’s junk mail folder and I found several n-Track mail reply links in there…
