Help

Hi, i have made a post at mp3hp talking about cheap recording home studio’s, i would like to include a small list of equipment for recording audio, i’m here for your help.

My main concern is the price, the target should be for recording good demo’s etc. so it has to be in the cheap category !

so can anybody please help me, i need manufacturer, model and link to site for this following gear …

at least:

3 mics
3 audio cards
3 mixers
anything else that i missed (low price)

I have already listed N-Track but i would appreciate any links to free plug-ins and other freeware used by you folks for your recordings

thanks in advance

:)

Studio Projects B-1 mic (about $100)

Studio Prjoects VTB-1 mic pre-amp (about $130)

M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI soundcard (about $100)

And of course… n-Track software!

If you’re only recording one or two tracks at a time, this is all you need. (it worked just fine for me) :;):

Thank you john, i will add these asap :)

anymore tips i can add... anybody ?

Mics should include: (I’m gonna start a fight): sm57 :)

Cheap mixers are also a touchy subject.

You might want to post this on the main forum, you’ll get more reponses.

Thanks TomS, so i can replicate this thread there ?

Since it is about recording, I don’t see why not. Blame me if anyone gets testy. :)

I agree with you about the sm-57… I finally got one to play with. It works great on my acoustic guitar and even sounds OK for vocal scratch tracks.
