Hi n-Trackers:

I have a request…

Hi Gents:

I’m looking for a Quick Key/Keyboard Key, or whatever…
This key(s) would be used to Hi-lite an entire selected track on the timeline…
OR, the entire timeline…

For example
1

Pressing …
SAY…

Control and the key Z
would Hi-Lite all the tracks on the Timeline…

Example

2

Pressing Control and the key 1
would Hi-lite Track one…
OR
Control and the keys 1-and-5
would Hi-lite
Track 15…
etc. - etc.

Is this something that would is able to be incorporated ????
Into a version/build of n-Track ?

Bill…

I have never used them, but I think there are Control functions for Ntrack and your keyboard already…don’t really know what they are or if the functions you are wanting are available…sorry could not be of more help.

keep shinin

I really would like to have such a selection option. But how would you select tracks 1 and 7 and not get track 17?

Or 1, 4 and 7 but not track 147…

I hear you…

Maybe, a dialogue box of some description…
then enter, or something…
Leave that for Flavio to sort out…

The other thing I would like is…

There are several ways to stop the transport…
There’s the space bar and “F 12”…
F 12 is the pause control…
The Pause button flashes when the timeline is in “pause”…
I’d like to see the colour of the Pause icon turn to a “Flashing Red” icon when in the “Pause” condition…

It’s just a visual thing…

Bill…

I believe the feature you are requesting is already there:
Select all of all tracks: Edit > Selection > Select All
( Clear by clicking on open space)
Select seperate tracks: Hold Shift key and left-click tracks.
There is also a Edit > Selection > Enter Selection Box for entering part of a track.
I ususally find it easier when selecting part of a track or part os several tracks to just Left-click drag to select the area I want to effect.
In the new manual there is a selection on using keyboard controls to make changes although I find them difficult because the do not always conform to the “Standard” keyboard commands.
Hope this works for you.

Bax’s silver hammer.

Hi jeremysdemo:

All of the transport commands that I know-and-use are “F 12” “Backspace” and “Spacebar”…

The “Backspace” and “F 12” work just fine, for how I use them…

I believe the “Spacebar” command controls what information is held in the RAM…
or…
there may be
RAM influnces that make the spacebar somewhat inconsistant…
in it’s operation-and-behaviour…
in combination with “Streaming and Ram” of how the tracks play on the timeline…
However, I continue to use the “Spacebar”…

Maybe, I’ll discover a “Bax’s silver hammer” Work-around for what I’m looking for…
:)
:p
