Vista Drivers for version 3.3?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if their are Vista drivers avaialble for version 3.3? I just upgraded to Vista and N-track is acting a little freaky, shutting down without warning.
Thanks,
Kramer
Drivers are specific to the hardware, not n-Tracks. What kind of sound card are you using (and video)?

The computer is a brand new Dell Insiron 530s with dual core E2140 1.6Ghz processors.
Graphics Card is a 128MB ATI Radeon X1300
Sound card is a Realtek High Definition 7.1 Surround Sound card. It has 2 mic inputs and a stereo left/right input. They all work fine with Reaper. I've loaded 24 tracks with tons of effects plugs in Reaper without any problem. Just wondering why N-track keeps shutting down.
I have an M udio 24/96 from my old computer, but they still haven't developed a driver for it yet.
AH!
When you say you upgraded to Vista you mean you got a new machine from Dell with Vista already on it? In that case there should be Vista drivers for the Realtec already on the machine, or at least on the driver CD.
Audio on Vista is very flaky across the board and it’s not always n-Tracks fault, even the older versions. Search for Vista Audio Tweaks. I don’t know how V3.3 would do on Vista.
The drivers for the Realtec from Dell should be mostly OK, though. Check out Dell’s website to see if they have been updated.
I’m now finding Vista to be better than my XP machine - you just have to be sure when you are working in nTrack that all the other background programs are off - all the widgets and gadgets etc. Shut down everything but nTrack.
My first project on Vista is now up to 12+ tracks with no problems what so ever - my old machine would push to allow 8. I can now use individual plugins on tracks instead of using one reverb etc. on an Aux channel. most tracks now can handle 2-3 plugins with no skipping and drop outs and slow reaction times I use to have.
I know most of that is due to more resources from the actual machine and my new Vista Tascam drivers - but overall Vista is very nTrack friendly - at least in my experience using ver. 5.
