You also agree with her about the War in Iraq??

Read what she says. Now we have started the mess in Iraq, I agree that we need to finish it. But no - I thnk the war in Iraq was a BIG mistake & I think history will be on my side.

we love you Hil.

This baord so needs an eye roll smiley… If Bush were to say something similar the Dems would cry foul in the same way. It is just nit picking. Who cares… Just political chest beating on both sides when ever then can find a weakness in the armer… Might as well start dragging out Trent Lot quotes, Ted Kennedy gibberish contradictions, Clinton pot jokes, Bush I barf photos, and and Bush II saying things in backwards Yoda speak while we are at it… Still doesn’t change a thing. I would be so screwed if I were a politician. Sheesh…

well said, BG… chest-beating indeed… if they would yodel at the same time, we’d have 600 tarzans…

Actually let’s try to figure out who the Alfred E. Neuman reference is supposed to appeal to. Most younger people are more familiar with Mad TV than Mad Magazine and haven’t seen Alfred E. Neuman. Maybe Hillary’s connecting to the middle-age or senior liberal crowd. Mad Magazine must test well with that demographic. Now she can move on to Karl Rove and use Spy-vs-Spy (at least the Mountain Dew generation will recognize that one).

Hey, what'd'y'all have against Mr. Neuman? ???

Nothing. In fact, I've heard that he makes wonderful mics.

Naw, I just happen to not be perfect like we expect our politicians to be… They are all criminals but if they spit their gum on the sidwalk a scandal breaks out… I don’t happen to have the moeny to have 15 handlers cover up all of my mistakes and transgressions, and I am pretty much a square.

It’s all about how they can spin things in such a way as to change our perception of the event.

Without mentioning names - how about the guy that drove his car into the river and killed his girlfriend? He walked home and didn’t bother calling the authorities until he’d had a chance to sober up. Years later, this guy is still a Senator that seems to be loved by his constituency, whereas a normal person (without his family and money) would have suffered severe social stigmatization, if not outright incarceration as well.

No Democrat/liberal condoned Kennedy’s behavior. And it cost him the Presidency, but you’re still not satisfied. It’s like what Lennon said “They’re gonna crucify me” (and they eventually did in his case).

You’re in the right party John. You’ve got Karl Rove on your side every step of the way. And you’ve got Bush too - he’s a picture of intelligence & wit. And Bush even drove off the road while he was drunk in Maine but you still voted for him.

Why don’t you mention that Republican from the mid-west who killed several people because he ran stop signs & was drunk out of his mind? Why doesn’t that bother you John? No - you’ve got to keep drudging up stuff that happened 25 or 30 years ago.

Why don’t you mention that Byrd was a KKK member at one time. That’s the logical next thing to come out of your brain.

I have never read that John actually voted for President Bush.

He said he did in a previous post (or I wouldn’t have stated it).

Vote for Hil in 2008

You are correct in my voting preference in the previous election.

However, my previous post wasn't meant to be a dig on anyone - hence the not mentioning names thing. I was merely using a well known example to illustrate the point about public perception, etc... you're the one (as usual) seeking to turn this into a partison thing.

...and I'll forgive you when you vote for Hillary.

yep. I am so sick and tired of not paying enough of my earnings into taxes and getting a "free ride on the backs of working poor" so I want Hil as our president so she can tax me into social equality.

Go HIL!

But think about it… trash collection in the US will be the envy of the world! And I have to say… those derned socialist leaning countries with their consistently top rated standards of living in the world are truely a bane… I’d love to live there, but even this hippee knows an economic system can’t work that way forever.

Sure it can. Just tax everyone at, oh, 85%. Oh no, wait, only do it to the “rich”

Musings by Sweden’s governing Social Democratic party that it may raise what are already Europe’s highest tax rates have dismayed the country’s business community and raised fears that the move will backfire.

Prime Minister Goran Persson has vowed to raise taxes if needed to protect the “Swedish model” of welfare. “How many houses and apartments will have flat-screen TVs, how many more cars and how much more private consumption shall there be and how much shall we invest in what is common to us all?” he said in parliament last week.

ICK.

Socialism only works when everyone is equally self-motovated to work to their fullest ability without the incentive of reward for doing so.

meh.
