How to add/increase effect to part of a track?

and both my auxes are in use…

Could someone please remind me how to do this?
(Something in the back of my head is screaming “aux sends, volume evolutions…”)

Example: I have a guitar track in a project that needs more reverb during a particular section of the track. Now I usually would have a long reverb set up on aux one for the guitars etc and a short reverb on aux two for my percussion. This guitar track willl aready be sending to aux one, so how can I increase the reverb during one section?

Similarly, I sometimes need to apply EQ to one part of a track to deal with a problem, or add some delay to the end of a solo on the last note. Same thing applies really, how can I do this with both auxes in use?

I am using v3 of N.

Thanks.

You can increase the number of Auxes you have in the preferences

Aha - right, thanks Richlum. And once I’ve done that, how do I send part of a track to an aux??

Use the aux send for that track.
In the timline window select the aux send envelopes from the drop down list (the button looks like a black ramp)

then draw the send when you want to send that track to whcihever AUX it is

Thats it! Thanks.

I forgot there was a whole range of options under that button.
