Bill…
Kontakt Player, a free software instrument based on its Kontakt 3 sampler. It offers universal playback for available Kontakt libraries and forms the basis of a new category of “Kontakt-powered” instruments.
The new player is the central instrument for all Kontakt sound materials for both studio and live performance environments. It accommodates all regular Kontakt-format libraries as well as all generations of third-party Kontakt Player instruments, including Kompakt and Intakt formats as well as Native Instruments’ Akoustik Piano, Elektrik Piano, and Bandstand instruments.
Tough Times, Tough Choices (featuring Focal Point): View now
The new player is based on the Kontakt 3.5 engine, and features 64-bit support, extended memory addressing, advanced DFD streaming, true multiprocessor support, and more. It provides complete playback functionality with universal import and sound manipulation via its Performance View panels. It omits only the in-depth editing features of the full-featured Kontakt 3.5. All sound libraries are managed in a graphical library browser, providing an overview of your sound collections.
Kontakt Player is also the basis for a new range of self-powered, sample-based instruments, which will be available for download and purchase directly from Native Instruments. Now available are the company’s new Maschine Drum Selection–hard-hitting drum and percussion sounds for modern electronic and club music styles–and Evolve Mutations–a new instrument for movie, TV, and game composers.

Bill..
Cool sample player Bill - not sure yet if it's as "full" of free samples as Proteus but I do like the Orchestra sample for strings so far.
I thought folks were always looking for better free sample players. I have no control over whether or not they recognize the player name and the potential - I could have made a better post title I reckon. I was gonna change it, but then, um, I just carried on living my life.
Wow... can you say "Morons in action." boys and girls? I thought you could.
These guys had to be stoned, stupid or BOTH to try such a thing... Wow...
D
PS Of course, it could be a video editing hoax...
PPS What the heck does this have to do with Kontakt Player?!?!?
Hi Levi:
That’s a pretty good explanation of what and how the player is used…
It seems as though these samples are proprietary to the software manufacture…
That being the case you have to have their player to use them…
For example, The guy that recorded those tracks 'It’s All In The Game"
my boss back in the Musicstop days…
(Russell)… (the Fender Jaguar Guitar) player in the first stage I played on way back when… on the Foto Page)
He is a Jazz Freak…
so-to-speak… now…
George Benson is his idol…
That flavor of Guitar style…
He sent me an mp3 file of one of the projects he’s recently work on…
He uses some form of Jazz Samples to play with in his setup…
as well he’s some type of midi user…
However, when I played what he sent over to me…
Whatever software he is using
I’ll say… his end product is fabulous…
It would be nice to know where his library of samples comes from…
and how he edits and arranges his tracks…
Bill…
p.s. Hey D… That clip is great… let Levi alone… hehe…
Yeah, the water slide is a fake, from Microsoft. . .

Yet another freebie arrow in the freebie quiver.
So I shall return the favor. This from the August issue of Computer Music
http://sourceforge.net/projects/hypermammut/files/paulstretch/2.0
PaulStretch is a program for stretching the audio. It is suitable only for extreme sound stretching of the audio (like 50x) and for applying special effects by “spectral smoothing” the sounds.
It can transform any sound/music to a texture. The program is Open-Source and it’s released under the version 2 of the General Public License. You can download the source code for Linux or the Windows binaries.
Here are some key features of “PaulStretch”:
It produces high quality extreme sound stretching. While most sound stretching software sounds bad when trying to stretch the sounds a lot, this one is optimized for extreme sound stretching. So, the stretch amount is unlimited.
You can play the stretched sound in real-time (including the possibility to “freeze” the sound) or you can render the whole sound or a part of it to audio files
Support for WAV and OGG VORBIS files
It is a Free Software

Right Bill!
You've got me curious too.
Maybe you can invite him over here to share some of his technique.
Hey Paul McCartney is playing in the big new stadium next thirsday night then the cowboys play in the stadium for the first time the next night.
A week from tomorrow.
That gives the ground crew 24 hrs to get the grass down.
Real grass like real drums from real player.

That slide trick can only be done in Colorado.
Can't get that kind of hang time in Ohio!
Well, maybe ya could in far east Ohio.

I got a kick out of how they made the guy flying through the air look so real.
lol
It cracks me up just thinkin about it!
Two buckets of water to get the guy to slide 70 mph.
And hit a kiddy pool 100 yrds away! Too funny!
Well, it was a largish download, but I downloaded it - so I’ll try out the free Kntakt thing and report back, if y’all want.
Thanks Poppa for the heads up
Downloaded, got it up and running, but player still says DEMO…?
If you use it enough a window will come up and ask you about the demo status Yaz.
It asks you if you’re a Real musician, and if you write Real songs for Real people.

Great... no need for ME to download it then!
