In the battle ground states

…and if you add up the popular vote in the battleground states, I won the popular vote in the battleground states by two percentage points. |
I was curious about this statement, so I checked it myself. If you define the battle ground states as:
OR, NV, CO, NM, MN, IA, WI, MI, OH, WV, PA, FL, NH
then Bush wins the popular vote:
Bush: 18,882,673
Kerry: 18,618,860
If you add the following states:
WA, AZ, MO, AR, ME (some include these), Bush still wins:
Bush: 23,445,587
Kerry: 22,977,886
Does anyone know how Kerry can make this claim? Does any one care?

um, he can't add??
I dunno.
maybe he just means ohio and whatever else was close?
No - he definitely doesn’t mean that. Read what he said - he was pretty clear about it. However, it appears as though he’s either:
- misinformed
- using some other list of battle ground states that favors his “sping”
- he’s lying
(That’s my standard list for Republicans by the way).
Mr Soul
Kerry’s now a Republican?!?!?!
