LOST IN THE CITY

something from the road

I love any comments.
LOST IN THE CITY

Tempo is a lot better on this one than any of your other recent tunes Levi - especially on the bass parts. Much better! Nice chord progression movement. I would have preferred a nice fade ending, but just me. Only other pick on is I would redo the intro and give the drummer 2 bars or more alone, then hit’em with the band. A little building…

picky picky picky.

I like this one!

Thx for your ideas picky.
:D
#1 let the drums play at the start, was that way, like your idea will prob go back to that now.
Thats 2 of us for, none against! #2 let fade at end.
I just used the same ending on my last song so I wasn't really thrilled at this ending.
Good idea, I can hear that hook riff working with the bass and drums fadin!
Good idea good bud!
#3 is for me to know and you to figures out ;)
Thx a bunch. Oh I just did a bunch of country gravy mmmmmmmmmmm! *belllllllch* ;)

HI Pop,
Those changes sound pretty good hearing anything else?
Oh darn, just remember all that gravy I have made up, time for some taste!

Excellent! this is my favorite thing you’ve done.

Hey thx for taking the time to listen and to help! I’m happy that you like it!

there’s nothing texas about that. and when i say ‘there’s nothing texas about that,’ i mean that it feels like i was back sitting in a 6th street bar in austin on a saturday night with a shiner bock in hand.

it’s so zz top i can’t tell you.

is it just the drums or is it overall compressed hard on the top end? it feels to me like the drums are struggling to breathe.

i like the drawn-out faded ending.

Hi Jason thx for the listen and comments.

I don't play one ZZ cover but I better get one on my list I guess.
I sure love those guys.
I think the reason for zz comparisons is the result of the effects and hot amp sound.
I don't know any zz licks.
I have never played one of there songs.
But Billy is a big blues lover and I'm sure we studied the same blues players.

This mix is post Pop's comments.
And I might have eq'ed it twice.
I had this feeling when doing the master that I might have, but didn't stop to check it.
I'll take a look and upload another if so.
I appreciate your comments buddy and for the pointer!
 If your curious to hear it you can play it from this link.
Something happened at soundclick and the song wont stream from my soundlick artist page.

 Soundclick is having some kind of server issue with this song for some reason or another.
It's not playing & not up dating.
It's currently at #12 in the rock'blues charts, thx to y'all.
That's a nice start.
It's to bad it won't stream, a pity to loose all that momentum.
