Input problems
I keep loosing my input to n-track,sound paths and everything else is ok. I was getting ready to lay down a track but my guitar was out of tune so I turned on the tuner and went live to tune. after tuning I turned the tuner off, turned off live and started to record. Now I have no input, rec vu meter is dead. All my sound card settings are ok and I can hear my input thru speakers and headphones. I didn’t change any configuration at all. I am fairly new to this program and it has been working fine. Did I do something wrong.
Please help
Is the rec. vu-meter turned on? There is a little green circle below the meter to indicate this (grey if meter is off). The red circle (or grey) to the right of this selects channels to record.
Yup, Tried everything I know, even did a system restore and tried reloading n-track. Nothing worked. I keep thinking it’s something simple that i’m over looking in the program. Been thru all the help files, looked at alot of stuff in this forum and FAQ. NO help so far.
Ok i got it sorted out. It was not a problem with n-track but with my computer. I have always used my front mic input to record thru a small sound mixer for multiple inputs and volume control. It’s nice to be able to plug and unplug when i want without crawling around the back of the cpu to do stuff. Well the front input refuses to work for some reason, for now I’m useing an extention in rear input.
Thank you Stratos for your input I did’t think I would get a response from anyone on this holiday.
If anyone has seen this problem I could still use some help to sort it out.
Thanx a bunch
Hi Jammer:
Do you think that there may be a configuration adjustment that your audio card or computer set-up needs to regain input control over the front-panel connection to your setup?
Just checking… It don’t take much at times to alter the standard setup config. of your computer’s setup…
