I seem to remember reading an interview with Mick Jagger who was being asked as to the meaning of one of the the Stones songs. He replied “dunno, they are just words that sounded good”, or words to that effect.
I tend to write Christian worship songs which means that generally it makes sense that they make sense. (if that makes sense)
