Merry Christmas

and thanks

Just a Merry Christmas wish for everyone on the forum. This has been a good and inspiring place to be. So to everyone and especially to some good friends I have made here over the last few years

" Have a great and safe festive season"

Cheers and Many Thanks,
Ian

Eyup!

and HO! HO! HO!

Yes indeed, a large and hearty “MERRY CHRISTMAS!” to all Trackers and Trackettes.
May your crotchets be not quite so crotchety and your quavers a little less quivery over the coming season and beyond.

'ave a good 'un

Steve

Hi Bruffie and Beefy Steve:

Merry Christmas to you two…
I’m not sure how the weather can be in the UK at this time of year…
AND…
Dubai…
I imagine that it can get pretty warm over there…

Weather is very important to us, over here…

In the mornings we take a few seconds and stick our noses out the door and sniff the air…
In that time we can tell if we are going out At All…
OR…
if we are …
how we’re gonna dress for how long we’re gonna be out…

The forecast for tomorrow, Christmas Day,
the temperature is gonna rise to the lo-to-mid Teens…
and heavy rain…
We’ll see…

Bill…

Thought about concocting a crude joke about “foreigners”, but I’ll save that for New Years.
 Ya’ll 'ave a good 'un
:)

Whoooobaby!

Just got back from having my fill of Christmas Squid!!!

(really…and it was REALLY good)

Just had my fill too. Egg Nog Milkshake with toffee chunks in it. I’m zoned.

Bruffie - thank you so much for what you gave me throughout the last year. You are an inspiration and a joy to know.

Just had my fill of trying to sleep with injured back, it ain’t gonna happen . . .

Merry Christmas Bruffie ya ol’ fart!
Merry Christmas to all and to all . . . . keep on tracking!

Yep, Merry Christmas folks, and a blessed New Year.

Only one musical pressie for me this year - a guitar lead.

All turkey’d out now.

Merry Christmas Mark A:

I was wondering if you’d be around…

I had a Cornish Hen
for Christmas Dinner…
I put it in the oven this morning…
I was about to make up some fixins but the Power went out…
I had Cornish Hen with canned peas for Christmas Dinner…
:p
 and ate in-the-dark…
We are in the middle of some very bad weather…
The sun is shining in a perfectly clear blue sky
but the wind is blowing a gale…
There is some huge amount of weather on it’s way somewhere…
We were spared an awful ice storm… The temperature rose overnight and we got it as rain…
We have very little snow on the ground…
just some icy snowplow banks…
We are all bracing for the next event…
for the weekend…
We’ll see…
The wind is coming around…
it’s gonna cool off…
big time…
The salt trucks are out…
SO…
They are aware of the weather patterns…

I’ve been playing m-Audio Delta 192 Audio card all day…
:p

Bill..

Yep, I'm still around - you can't get rid of me that easily!

Sorry to hear that you had a power-outage Bill.
Full turkey and works here.

I think you'll enjoy that Delta card.

Here's a pic of me, my two eldest sons (bass & drums), and a friend and her daughter doing the local "carols in the precinct" gig last week.
Great fun.
Lots of rocked-up christmas songs interspersed with carols from our local orchestra.
We made the local paper (look out Quo!)

It should make the Old Man and Mom Feel real proud… seeing the Going’s-On in the papers… My kids were discouraged from having anything To-Do with music… It was frowned on by the In-Laws… Bringing the money home was O.K. BuT…

That's true Bill.
Makes me proud to be able to play with them.
They are both talented young guys and the fact that they are happy to play with an old fart like me, well, need I say more.

I’m really being nosey Mark… Are you back to work? I hope so… I know what being outta work is all about… It Ain’t Nice… The economy is headed for the cellar around here… It’s happening everywhere… Musicians are quite resilient though… We have a way of making the best of times in the worst of times… It can really get tough on families… Maybe, the Barter System might come back… Wouldn’t that be something…

Bill..

Yes, Bill, thanks for asking. I got a job a month or two back. It was touch and go for a few weeks towards the end. Not quite the same financial package but who can afford to be fussy these days?
