MIDI playback on Sony Vaio Laptop

Settings

I had a little trouble getting an imported midi file to play.

I ended up going through the device combinations, and found the MME driver set to work just fine. nTrack requested to adjust buffers; I said yes; and whammo!..it worked.

Ah Steve Wonder, Higher Ground Midi…how robotic. Hehehe.

I would then go back and select the Omega ASIO if I wanted to do some audio recording.

What I normally do is record each midi track into a separate audio track. Then I add effects to warm up the sound. That mechanized sound can really grate at one’s ears.

Yep GM is about the lamest.
