It seems that when I mixdown a song, there is an automatic fade ate the very last few milliseconds. This is fine in most cases, but not when creating a segment that will be looped.
Is this an option that can be turned off? I can’t find any info on this. Thanks in advance!
Does the fade show up in the volume envelopes?
I don’t think it’s supposed to do what you are describing.
when you select mixdown, give it a name and then hit enter, mixdown box comes up,select more options and look for the interval to mixdown, chose entire song, this may be the thing
I never saw this with earlier versions; I’ll check it out with V5 when I get a chance.
Here’s a workaround for you in the meantime. Mixdown more than your song, pull the mix into n-Track, and use “trim” to clip it where you want it.
Details: to mixdown more than the song, select the region to mixdown by dragging on the time-bar. Mixdown, and pick “selection” rather than the default which is whole song. (If that doesn’t work, just copy-paste a bit of audio well past the end of your loop end.)
To trim, just select the portion of the wave file (by dragging on the wavefile but careful not to hit the little widgets at the ends to start with) and then Trim from the Edit or Track menu.
Try turning off “stop playback at end of song.” Go to Settings/Prefernces/Options. It’s a checkbox a little more than midway down on the left.
Thanks for the responses. I’ll give those a shot.
Yes, I noticed this also and I would like to turn it off too for many reasons, there should be an option somewhere to turn it off, I didn’t find any.
Also I don’t like that when I zoom a track, after a few seconds the wave becomes all blurry, is there a way to not make this happen as I have then a hard time seeing the wave itself…
I tried the settings but it didn’t work, unless I didn’t try the good ones…
