do you do something like this?
I recorded a song that is sort of reggae, and wanted to get the bass guitar and drums working together a bit better, so I submixed them in a group and put a light bit of compression on them. Made them sit together quite well. I bet this is an old technique. Is it?
I think I’ve heard of that one. but I’m not old
Ah, so it is at least a young technique.
If compression was all that was needed I say you got off easy

Oh, I am sure that it needs more than compression. A good drummer would be a start. I'm the drummer.
I would post something, but I don't have a place, and I'm so lazy I haven't even checked out places like artist collaboration...also, I have been doing things that sound so much better with each iteration that I just keep thinking "Nah, not this one, the next one, it'll be better, oh, let's just wait till it sounds like it was mixed by that Lord-Alge guy..."
Guess I ought to go look for something, but since mp3.com went down way back when I just haven't found a good alternative. Suggestions?
