Fish, you are in luck. Just so happens that in the preferences there’s a little check, that defaults to off, that when on will prompt for the file name every time you record. Simply check Ask for names for wave files.
I just always create a new folder and save the blank song in there before ever recording the first track, then no matter what the file names end up being they will always be in that folder.
