need help recording
I have n-track installed on my toshiba laptop using windows 8.1 When I try to record, the internal mic records the sound around the laptop in the room . How do I mute this mic so I can only record from my midi controller . I am using a Alesis Q25 midi controller .
you should be able to do that within windows 8.
From the Windows 8 Desktop Screen, right-click on the 'Sound' icon and from the options displayed, select ‘Recording Devices'.
Right-click on the active microphone and select the ‘Properties' option… Active microphone has a green check-mark marked against it.
Then, under the Microphone Properties window, from the ‘General' tab, switch to ‘Levels' tab and mute it.
