I’m glad this ain’t important - it’s the kind of thing that would drive me to a(nother) breakdown - great fun. I bought it when I was twenty, now I’m pushin’ fifty, it looked old then. Tom! I know what you mean but as Pop says in regard to the style of upholstery. A roady geezer once looked in the back and said, “what’s that half Fender mongrel doing in a box like that?”. Just about every expert that’s had the misfortune to fall over it has had a differing oppinion until I decided it must be home made. I’m chuffed to mint balls that you guys have had a look - but I wish the guy (or his son) who built it would pop-up and shoot it in the head, once and for all

I see what you mean, Yaz. Could be. But did they do a bass/treble conf’?
Tom! The box looks more ‘factory’ (to me) than The Amp (cheers Levi)
Well I wanna know what it is! I emailed Laney support with a link to your amp pic. We’ll see if they have a clue!
If it turns out that the transformer is a Partridge, then I’ll bet my back legs that TomS has cracked it.
Nicely, Pop. I’m actully excited!!!
Heh - this is the kind of puzzle me likes best…
Me too! When the kitchen table is free from the Volvo prop-shaft and my son’s guitar (action job), I’ll do as Bill says and drag the chassis out for a coat of looking at.
Oye! TomS! Meanwhile - play us a tune:-)
Give this site a shot. Lots of links to dig into.

Hi phoo:
There’s some nice photos in that link you posted…
In there is a Capri Amplifier
Alamo is the logo on the cabinet…
It would be THE Amp for Harp Players…
Do you see the Tubes that are in there…
The amps were called AC/DC Design, by concept…
The filaments were wired in series…
The amps had a natural distortion and dynamic range that made the harp players that used the Astatic < spelling Crystal/Piezo Mics with the built-in volume control prefect for playing Blues stuff…
It appears that Ascoustic Control Amps in California are a thing of the past…
My Acoustic 370 Amp is out in a field with the cow-pies…
Bill…
Well, Tony, what is it?
I still want to know what the small text on the front and back says. Can’t be read in the pictures. The rest looks like a kit to me.
doin’ it now, boss

that any better? my eyes are knackered.
I’m virtually certain it is a Selmer.
Virtually.
Many features are like the Selmers of the last 60s.
Even the box - but someone seems to have changed things a bit, or…perhaps it is a demo or a test model or something?
The box looks a bit like this:

But the electronics look more like this:

Those are UK versions - maybe you have a US version?
I know, dude. It realy is a puzzle. Sounds cool when it’s in a good mood
The chassis installation work is a load of crap - many after-thoughts and corner cutting. It’s impossible to remove the chassis, without removing half of the battens. It looks and feels UK.
Wasn’t Corndford founded in the 1990s?
beats me - I never heard of 'em…
they do look more like it. coincidence?
Yes Pop. Same print/cloth
