Happy Easter gents… Yeah, I know I’m late but it’s been busy. We had a standing room only crowd at church today. Funny how people get up and go for Easter and Christmas. The rest of the year they’re like “Meh…” They’re missing the best stuff. It shouldn’t be like a special pair of shoes you only wear twice a year. sigh
D
Yea… I touched on this with jdet this mornin. His church is laid back like ours and those folks stand out cause the regulars are wearin’ shorts and t-shirts. Still I was glad to see the newbies…
amen to comfortable clothes.
I don’t own a pair of dress shoes, and all my pants are made of denim, so I only go to “laid back” places.
Ifn ya can’t get into Heaven wif Bibbed Overhauls!
What, on judgement day ya get sent to hell cause ya don’t own any fancy duds?
A few years back at Church, I asked the question “If I got up Sunday morning and looked in my closet and all I saw was a two year old three piece suit and a brand new pair of bib overalls, what thought process is gonna lead me to believe I’d be better dressed wearing the suit?” That drew a few puzzled looks.
Somehow I doubt Jesus and His Disciples sported Armani suits, silk shirts and three hunnert dollah ties…
D
three hunnert dollah ties...
I don't remember any comments about the price of the tie, but at this particular Church, it was strongly recommended that a Christian should wear one when out sharing the gospel. Being the likable guy I am, I was able to get by without paying too much attention to that kind of stuff.

Yup! I never quite understood why people think 'Clothes maketh the man'
They don't!!
Possibly 'Deeds maketh the man would be more appropriate'

Sigh..... that's the plan.
NO SPEEDOS IN HEAVEN.
