Hi Gents:

I’ve just updated to build 2588 from build 2574…
I have had b 2588 crash and send a .dmp file to Flavio…
In an attempt to select a driver set I now get the Vista Home Premium 32-bit Operating System to crash…

The built-in audio Card is one driver set that worked all-along…
The other Audio Card and Driver set in this computer is an m-Audio 192 Card…
All this
hardware has been working in just about any combination(s)

Could there be something that I’m doing that is prompting these issues to surface ???? Is there something going on in this build that could be affecting the Hardware-and-Drivers in this computer?

This machine is very similar to the studio machine, with slight differences… I hesitate to install b2588 on the Studio Machine til I am able to get this build to behave on this machine…

I’m looking for any suggestions that might get this machine to behave correctly with this build of n-Track…

Bill…

Hi, Bill. Which drivers are you using?

Bill!
PS. I’m having crashes with the last few n builds, too. Hang in there - I reckon the boot is about to drop on that bug:-)
And the midi area is coming together nicely over the latest couple of builds.

Hi Tony:

When I try to select the built-in audio card of this main board …
they are the Realtek audio drivers the Operating System Vista Home Premium 32-bit crashes…
I’ve tried to select them before I launch n-Track and that seems to open n-Track O.K.
????

but then I get what sounds like a “Click Track” along with the track(s) that are playing on the n-Track Timeline…
If I try to select the Realtek Drivers from the n-Track drop-down list of drivers the Operating System crashes…
I have got the Realtek drivers m-Audio 192 drivers PolderBits Drivers I think there are
(5) repro drivers and (3) record drivers…
The PolderbitS Drivers (software) allow me to record Audio Files from On-Line (Internet) sites…

It’s as nice-a-machine as I’ve had the opportunity to work with…
It’s a toss-up as to which machine (the Studio Machine) is the better working one I use for audio…
It seems as though the studio machine is the stabler machine…
(Less installed Garbage) on the studio machine…

I believe I can disable the built-in Realtek Audio Drivers and survive…
However, I’d like to preserve those drivers just to have their options… Before b2588 I had no issues using all those drivers in any combination…

Bill…

p.s.
I don’t think I’ll back the build to 2574 just yet…
I might give Flavio the opportunity to see what is in that .dmp file that went over to him…
You know…
it could be that the issue was there all along but it did’n raise it’s head till now…
Who knows ????

Steady-as-she-goes… :)

Hi Gents:

I’m back again on this thread…

I’ve opened a file using Windows Media Player using the Realtek (built-in audio card)
I hear NO “Click Track” or what seems to be a click track in the Media Player application…
It only happens when I attempt to use the Realtek Audio Card-and-drivers in n-Track…
The sound of a Click Track is not Changeable…
e.g.
Able to change the BPM…
It seems to be at the 70-80BPM rate…

Weird… ????

Bill…

[EDIT]

The drivers and audio I hear using Windows Media Player appears to be quite stable-and-normal in all respects while using Windows Media Player, as well…

Hi, Bill. Try a test using ASIO only. I understand that it wouldn’t answer the bpm issue but have you somehow managed to turn on the n metronome or have you got a chunk of midi aimed at n-T drums (ch 10)?

Hi Gents:

I see you here, this morning…
I’ll do that TonyR…
Hi Flavio…
I saw that Ivory Coast/Italian Game…
????

I don’t think those teams are showing themselves, yet…

What a beautiful day … it is here…
The sun is breaking over the horizon…
It’s just 5:08 am…
I ain’t gonna be inside too much today…
We can’t waste this kind of weather…
can we ????

I’ll get to this

If I was tracking I’d have some other checking I’d do as well…
Anyway, I’m preparing to do the morning run…
The end of school for the term is just around the corner… I think there’s about 9-or-10 days left…
Then I’ll have the summer to do things I want to do…
Where did the year go ????

Bill…

[EDIT] I’ll post some print screens of the Driver menu, if I can get the chance… It should show the Driver Options I have available on this machine…

Sorry…
The Ivory Coast/Portugal game…
The Italian Game was a tie…
