One more MIDI latency question...

I looked in past posts, but haven’t seen this issue…

I’ve recorded several audio (wav) tracks, and have added multiple MIDI tracks. Everything is fine…until I turn my VST effects (reverb) on the audio tracks. N-track tells me it is compensating for latency (200 ms). If I then try to record a new MIDI track with the VST effects operating, the new track is 200ms out of synch with everything else. The problem goes away if I bypass the VST effects.

Clearly one solution is just to record without VST effects operating and add them later. Is there another workaround that would leave the effects operating while I record another MIDI track? The buffering settings don’t seem to affect the latency compensation, and thus don’t help the problem. Any thoughts? Thanks!
