playback chipmunk

vocal plays octave higher

Error: "sampling Frequency and output format supported by sound card?"
I’ve already completed one 5-part project with no trouble. Now I get one good vocal overdub, and the next will play back as a chipmunk. What do I need to check here?

Running 16-bit v.4.2.1
Tascam US122mkII mic interface
w Behringer C-3 mic

Thanks for any comments.

For now, try opening the properties of the offending track and transpose it down to the correct pitch.

sounds like a fequency error.

eg. 44k 48k 96k etc.

This is exactly what happens when a track is recorded in another frequency than they playback setting.

make sure the two are the same (record and playback) for example your recording setting could be 48000 and your playback could be 44k.

keep shinin

:agree: Absolutely.
I played around with this for a couple of hours earlier today. If you are desperate to keep the takes then you could re-sample them individually - but in truth - I'm having a couple of issues in the test project. Plus, I'm on V6.
I'll let you know.
