Behringer have adopted ENERGY XT2 as their chosen DAW application - having used it for a while i can see why - its great, and with Behringers backing Energy XT2 will soon take over the world - RIP REAPER -
so why dont we have another poll for what is our favourite SECOND DAW -
mine are - N Track, RENOISE, ENERGY XT2 (although technically Renoise is a tracker not a DAW)-
but above all i would prefer a "poll dancer" -

Doc, I just say "To each his own preference." I can't speak to XT2, haven't messed with it. XT1 I did not care for at all. My own personal preferences would be;
Reaper
Magix Music Studio 14 (Sam 9SE with added "stuff" specially MIDI goodness.)
n-Track
In the end, it doesn't matter.

I second Beefy Steve’s method. Seems like the way to go to me.
I can not see making a poll for each song… with a choice of 1 thru 10. The information would have to be sorted by ‘hand’ and then calculated doing it that way.
The same result would be had by mixing the songs from each category in say groups of 5 - then taking the top two or so and have another round of voting.
Remember the n-Track poll is a one vote system. The only way to rank each song on a scale from 1 to 10 is to poll each song.
If you really want that then I’m gonna have to ask for my salary to be doubled.
Oh yea … never mind.
Well, votes could be emailed, and I’d be happy to tally. If you trust me, that is. I wouldn’t.
We could do a poll for each song… last check there’s only 73 tunes… that should double as we get closer to the end of contest. No biggy. Three topics (cover-original-silly)for voting. Poll for each song will work.
That way it’s all in the open. OK - that’s cool. Then we just do the math for the winners? Or do we go another round? Do we want a Grand Prize winner?
