Problem converting midi to audio?

Sorry for being all over the board:-)

This is what I get when I hit mixdown.
And then it screems a mad, unrecognisable
symphony at me.

Which ever way round I try to mixdown a track with some midi parts
I get the following…

The song contains MIDI tracks that
cannot be mixed down: do you want to
convert this MIDI track that can be
included in the mixdown.

MIDI to .wav Wizard

This Wizard will guide you through the
process of converting the current song’s MIDI
tracks to wave tracks that you’ll be to
include in the mixdown.

There is a problem with your sound hardware.
To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel
and other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware.

Any ideas guys?

I get this popup every now and then. If your using vsti's just hit cancel and you should be fine. the midi to wave wizard is for General Midi.

Sounds like the wizard has a bug. I bypassed the wizard. When I get that pop’up I say no and wait a few seconds then the song starts to play.
You’ll have to stop it yourself and watch your volume here.
I usually turn my prower amp down at that point.

Cheers dudes. Gotta pull my head out of the box for now but I’ll be back at it later.
