I’m glad to see we can beat the Yanks at something :D

Steve

I don’t think you beat them. It’s a draw, at best…

The only thing worse than punks are hippies… oooo, and I hate a do nothing… and dead beats! We should round up all the dead beats! And if I catch one person humming Enya… well…

Joe Strummer would have been pleased. It’s nearly impossible to make relevant music anymore.

That whole album gets my vote for greatest Rock and Roll album of all time. :)

I can bet some good money on saying if his name wasn’t Harraj and a little more, shall we say, ‘western’ sounding, no one would have said anything…

Yeah, we pick on Quakers.

Me too - although I think it's a draw with the "Easter" by Patti Smith Group.

That’s the first time I’ve seen Procol Harum mentioned in a while.

Hey Jason - you’re right!

Whatever happened to Procol Harum? They had what…two hits in twenty years (‘Whiter Shade Of Pale’ - which was excellent and ‘Conquistidor’ which was musically excellent but conceptually flawed).

How does a band hold together that long without any bread coming in?

Kinda like Golden Earring or whatever. I think eleven years or something passed between their hits. (Radar Love and When The Bullet Hits The Bone.)

I was in a bar this year listening to a guy describing the deep meaning to the lyrics to 'Whiter shade of pale' by Procul Harum.

I said that they were drug/drink induced nonsense according to Gary Brooker.

The guy said ' Who's Gary Brooker'?

Hmmm! Guess fame can be short lived. ???
