need to fix the Screen layout issues
If I understand your question: you can move the various “modules” ( transport, vu, mixer) click on the upper bar and click or unclick the “allow this window to be docked”
Or. Settings > pref’s > restore global defaults.

Version or build you are using: however, in the new version 8 there is a button at the upper top right that turns “toggle workspace off and on”. Find that button and you can lock or or unlock the ability to move all of the various sections around.
That sounds like a handy button, Bax but i’m holding-off from 8 for the time being. I offered that solution as a quick resolve if in a pickle with 6/7.
