Yep - my new DAW, which I built in the spring, has a Core i7 930 and runs Win 7 64-bit. You won’t regret it. I run 64-bit Reaper loaded to the max with plug-in’s and my machine just idles along. Of course, I am also using the newer SATA III (6GB) drives as well.
