I finally got brave enough to download Learjeff’s Fender Rhodes soundfont but the de-compressor for SFARK files seems to have gone bye bye on the wwwild blue yonder.
Any ideas?
I founded one HERE.
Learjeff’s Fender Stereo Rhodes just blows away anything I’ve found for a Rhodes. Man I love that sound.
Think I’ll write somethin’ just for it. Awesome.
Would have put it up for you. (SFarc)
Whats old is new again. There are some great sounding SF’s out there.
The only problem is that you can’t use MIDI CC’s to control them. (I think)
And I think the sample rate is limitted.
But other than that - they can be better than any synth. Although,
I have come across SF’s made with out of tune instruments and generally
poor samples.
How about a link for the Rhodes?
my midi editor and player have no problem with this soundfont at all - I can sit down to my little line6 kb37 and play a Fender Rhodes for some reason that just blows me away.
jRhodes3.sfArk.zip @ http://learjeff.net/sf/sf.html
You will need the de-compression software I posted earlier - it will unzip first in any zip software then run it through the sfark program.
Amazing - I love that sound!
77 meg - dat’s a biggie.
thanks for the link PW, and thanks LearJeff
I grabbed the stereo one - it’s smaller - let me know hoe the other one sounds!
It’s nice - but to really hear it you (I) have to boost the EQ
quite a bit at 5k and also 10k. Try it and see if you hear a
significant difference with some EQ boost around those freq’s.

That's cool PW. Hey where is Learjeff? That guy is definitely an nTrack unsung hero!
I just got an email from Jeff this morning - he’s just not been recording at all.
He didn’t say why and I didn’t press it. Folks go through those times - I know I did 12 years of it.
Thing is to go through and not stay there.

Not for me seven - it sounds like a real Rhodes here - flat even.
Here’s a pretty neat Rhodes page with effects to listen too.
Something to shoot for.
