Does anyone know any?

I’m trying to sync an 8-track reel-to-reel to n-track, and rather than buying a MIDI/Sync interface box, I just thought I’d see if anyone had heard of any windows software that would serve the same purpose. The type of thing that I was thinking of was something that could output SMPTE to a soundcard output to stripe a tape, then listen on an unused soundcard input (probably via a virtual MIDI adaptor) for sync code and sync with n-track as the slave.

Any ideas?

Hi John,

I had the same idea many years ago when I had a four track, but I searched to no avail. Things may be different now… afterall it shouldn’t be difficult to do.
