So Paco ain't a mod down here?

We can talk about the fact he is a jerk and when he is called on it he cleans up his tracks so no one is the wiser? Real nice. Hey kids, don’t ask him any questions, he’ll just tell you to go **** yourself and then delete everything. WTF have I bothered putting in 13+ years around here for the likes of him to play Big Brother? Flavio, get a real mod please.

you could always volunteer for the job :agree:

in 13 years I’m surprised Flav hasn’t already asked you.

Petty is the word for it. Probably several complexes involved there.

from what I know your mod chair is still warm and awaiting your buts return Poppa.

dontcare

In name only. I don’t recall ever use it other than moving threads to proper forums.

It’s tough to be placed in that type of position…
The best a moderator can accomplish is rake over the high spots and remove the rocks and hope the field is level enough to play football on it…
:)
:p

Bill…

In the time I’ve been a moderator here, I’ve had only had one problem and that has been UJ. Good old bubba couldn’t take “no” for an answer and UJ and bubba went on a little witch hunt aimed at me. Calling the fact, I wouldn’t produce documentation to support the answers I gave to his questions which by the way, was unrelated to OP post and everything to do with his own work computer which he was already researching on Google, which I suggested he do in the first place. He expected me to answer his questions to a level and degree in which I wasn’t prepared to do. So what does he do, calls me a jerk with UJ at his side, asks me why I’m even here. In response to being personally attacked, I removed only those posts in which I responded or was quoted. If you want to call it back peddling fine, he didn’t like my answers I took them down. I gave the best answers I could based on my own knowledge based on my own experience. I have never quoted myself nor do I claim to have some high level computer expertize, which he thinks should be a requirement for a moderator. I have in past and I will in the future do what I can to help and most of all, if I’m wrong about something I have the willingness to admit if I’m wrong. I sent bubba a PM before he posted here, apologizing to him if I had offended him in anyway and admitted my response of “no” was a little stiff, so what does he do, he comes here calls be a jerk and demands I be replaced. If Flavio feels that I shouldn’t be a moderator then I will gladly step down. It’s clear ol bubba and UJ have got it in for me.

As far as calling me a heavy handed moderator or iron fisted, let me clear the air, there is only one person here causing trouble and calling me that and thats UJ. Him and him alone. He’s been warned repeatedly about his constant attacks against n-track, flaming posts with no regard to the OP questions or subject of threads and this on occasions has resulted in the deleting of some of UJ’s posts. On the other hand he’s become a fine contributer. I’ve had no problems with anybody else since being a moderator, I try to help when I can, move posts around, like good tips to the tips section and update the forum when new releases are posted. Although bubba has his sights aimed at me and wishes to personally attack, I won’t hold it against him although I’m disappointed after apologizing to him that he would post here with his most recent comments. I do believe this speaks volumes for itself.

Now, yall all have yourselves a nice day, because I am.

PACO :)

Paco! you’re still tops in my book!

I wouldn’t want to be in your position of trying to figure out what post and posters are flame/spam/offensive etc etc…

UJ ain’t all that bad, (as long as you know WHO it is that is messing with you) it changes things other than some anonymous troll whom you don’t know from Adam…the internet can be a strange and hostile place…

don’t take life so seriously P, you’ll never get out alive… shake it off like a dog…

dontcare

Would have helped to wore a hat… just sayin’…

I have to say that I haven’t seen UJ say anything that wasn’t obvious when making the comparisons. Maybe he shouldn’t be so blatent, but it’s still true, and with all the folks that do seem to have trouble with the quirks and hardware differences I see it as good natured ribbing and as a truly useful helping hand.

Nope, it has everything to do with the way in which you replied. If you couldn't answer or didn't have the info at hand... fine. Say so. Don't give me this condescending
"can't be bothered for I am so important" baloney like I am 5 or a moron. THEN when you do somewhat apologize... you delete everything 5 minutes later just to sweep it under the rug. Leave the thread intact. This redaction stuff is just childish and serves only you and your pride it seems... no one else. If every thread in this place was 100% spot on topic, there would be no forum. I would say more than half the threads here go in some tangent and those go by just fine. However if it is something on your short list (Reaper notably), you yank it. That is simply arbitrary based on your whim and mood that day. Unless someone is posting porn or something just absolutely offensive, close the topic. Don't delete it.

And UJ speaks for himself... don't lump me in with that turd.

EA Forum Ban Prevents Game Access?

[Mar 11, 2011, 12:10 pm ET] - 10 Comments
There’s a thread on the BioWare Social Network started by someone who had to create a new account to post there, because his original account is still enduring a 72-hour suspension for what was deemed an inappropriate forum post (he says he agrees he deserved the forum suspension for posting “Have you sold your souls to the EA devil?”). In a surprising turn, he says that besides keeping him from being able to post to the forums, the temporary ban is preventing him from activating his copy of Dragon Age 2, which, as noted on Kotaku (thanks nin), is especially odd, since this is a single-player game. There was a similar story in 2008 that resulted in EA explicitly denying that forum offenders were being banned from games, but this thread concludes with a moderator explaining that under certain circumstances, an EA forum ban can indeed prevent access to your games:

Here’s the link where I found it.

Now thats really too much, I’d never go that far, I’d quit first.
