So what's for lunch?

Levi had peanut butter and jelly - I presume grape jelly and creamy peanut butter.

I had baloney and american cheese with mustard on toast with a small handful of crunchy cheetos and 6 cocktail onions. (I love those lil things)

I had a gyro… but it wasn’t very good.

Thin strips of pork tenderloin coated in a light tempura style batter and seved with rice and peking lemon sauce (except it’s dinner time here)

:)

I had what we call a “fisherman’s lunch” around these here parts;

Can of Vienna Sausages - A.K.A. Alabama Caviar
Pack of saltine crackers - Unsalted crackers? Good Lord…
Cinnamon roll - not the big “death in seconds” kind though… a small one.
Pepsi - nectar of the Gods

YUM-YUM!! See? A good, light, healthy lunch!

D

love them little vienna sausages (and “potted meat”)- how the came to be named that is sure a mystery to me. I’m sure Vienna wouldn’t claim them nor are they really sausages…

Yeah P&J!
I had that for breakfast.
Gonna have something out of the tease box for lunch.
Don’t forget to do some “pump’ups”. Grab your dumb bells and do a few sets, remember not to Kill yer’selves.
I can say this because I just finished 3 sets of ughs and aagh’s.
Now for 3 sets of pushups puff puff*
Bruffie doesn’t need to, it’s obvious that he does leg’lifts with women attached.
That’s plenty for anyman!

Half a baloney sandwich, grapes and some yogert. I’m still getting fat. Getting old is no fun. :)

mac n cheese and a can of butter pecan ‘ensure’. i love that stuff! i have dysphasia (swallowing difficulty) so my dr is trying to keep my weightUP :p i have always been overweight but have lost over 100 pounds since my stroke. not a recommended weight-loss program, folks. :D

Club crackers (the cheaper store brand variety) with peppered cheese and bologna. I had peach yogurt too, but I ate that earlier this morning.

I agree with that. It wasn't so long ago, if a few too many donuts caused my waistline to expand, I could just decide to back off on the snacks, and with a little exercise, be right back down to a reasonable weight. It don't seem to come off so easy anymore.

for dessert i just got some strained pears. yummers! i have always heard that spiders and snakes come in pairs so i am afraid to eat it. :p

 Amen to that!

Dumb bells? Sigh, haven’t been to the gym in like 3 weeks with my schedule being as it has and I am sure I will have some catch up to do. Sigh, I am never going to be a brute or gain any “good” weight.

ROFL…

D

Gym? That’s where they play highschool basketball right?

Y’all are nuts lol
3 wks no problem bubba just have to be careful gettin back into it.

I suggest the rest of you do 20 situps, 20 jumping jacks,
20 pushups and 20 deep squats, mon - sat for 2 weeks.
Then start your deep squats with 25lb dumbells (total 50lbs) for the 3rd week. Going from a deep squat to and upright position rolling your shoulders back.
If your still into it by the 4th week.
I’ve got a quick routine that will keep you fit and strong and the doctor scratching his head.
:) Not to mention your wives lol
And using just 50lb dumbells.
D, at 6’5 you might need 35 pounders 70total. You’ve got to start light.
Do something.
Somthing that’s better than nothing would be 20 j/jacks, 20 deep squats, 20 situps and 20 pushups 6 days a week.
Do that!
And a little cardio, extra j/jack are ok.
Just remember, something will happen at times to keep you from doing the routine.
And some days you won’t want to, that doesn’t mean that you won’t.
Just stick to it as often as you can.
The 4th wk would be
mon, wed, fri and sat, with weights.
Curls, Over heads, and squats, thats all you need!
I miss days but I always get back into it.
My best takes are usually on days when I’ve just worked out.
Don’t hurt your selfs, if you feel unsual stress, slow down, lighten up and rest for 30 seconds lol
Hey what ever happened to sloppin back some delihous snacks ???

hate to say this guys and gals but i just struggled to get down a big piece of strawberry cheesecake. unfortunately i’m still losing weight. the va is sending a dietician in next week to try to recommend more intake. if i continue to lose they will have to put a feeding tube through my abdomen and i really don’t want that. :p

I’ve been working on my health very seriously…

I have what they call Pine Floats…
Three times a day…
The Dietitian tells me there ain’t anything I can eat anymore, without causing me grief…
I never knew there was that much sugar in Pine… AND…
I never knew there was so many splinters in Pine, either… :p

I guess I’ll have to switch to Spruce instead…

If that don’t work I’ll see if I can look for a new doc…

Bill…

p.s.
Hey D…
Look at the label on those Vienna Sausages…
B/P CiTy…
Any number on the label above 10 will be knockin on your door…
Sooner-or-Later…

If only I could sneek in a big piece of Pecan

 Maybe some pine tea would do? I saw a documentary a bunch of yrs ago about an Indian tribe in New Mexico (I think) well, somewhere out west. Anyway, the community was alarmed because of the high instance of diabetes. The local doctor researched the ancestry of the tribe and realized that in the past, this tribe consisted of runners. I wish I could give y'all the finer details about this but I can't remember them. But the doctor prescribed jogging and was able to reverse the diabetic trend in the community. True story!
So I don't care what someone's illness might be, you should exercise regardless. I saw another where a guy was diagnosed with some type of cancer and he said nutz to that and started working out with weights. After a month or two he went back to his doc for a check'up and his doc said. What ever it is your doing, keep doing it because there's no trace of the cancer at this time. That was all the inspiration that I needed. You just have to be smart in the way you approach exercise.
