SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

downloading an older version

I registered my n-track studio a long time ago…and i had version 3.3 … I just got a new computer and installed n track, but it won’t let me register because i have the newer version. I can’t find the old version anywhere and i have absolutely no need to upgrade to 4 , especially since it will cost me extra money. Can anyone PLEASE tell me where i can find version 3.3!!! if so , i would greatly appreciate you telling mee! i’m a song writer and am putting out a demo cd really soon and i need something to put down any new ideas i have … n track is perfect for me! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

okay, so i downloaded it (thank you for the link, i feel stupid) buuut when i try to open the file i downloaded, it gives me this message: The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHY CANT I GET N TRACK ON MY COMPUTERRRRRRRRRWAE$GAWPOIEHGWEAPOIGH
i’d appreciate any insight from anyone on this… thank you!

That usually means the file is corrupt. Try downloading it again. Check the filesize. It should be 3.16 MB (3,322,923 bytes) or 3.17 MB (3,325,952 bytes) size on disk (as seem in the file properties).

so i tried it again, i even tried the earlier version…still giving me the same message. The title of the message is 16 bit windows subsystem…is that any more of a hint to anyone out there!? :O

You need to give us a little more. What is the exact text of the message? This could be a half dozen things (none of which have to do with n-track, but Windows being corrupt) and without more details I would just be guessing.

Give these a whack:

all right Thanks so much i’m going to try those out. the top one basically matches what is happenign with my computer, so i think it’s just my system. however, in the link you gave me, it says “16 bit MS-DOS sub system” whereas mine says “16 bit Windows sub system.” Hopefully this isn’t a big difference. I’m going to try out what it says and i’ll let you know how it turns out… thanks a lot phoo and bubba

Had this same thing with my transcription apps a few weeks ago. Here’s the fix:
